World No. 1 Novak Djokovic cruised through his opening-round match in Miami, having ousted the Czech Republic's Lukas Rosol in under an hour. The defending champion recorded his 18th victory of the season late Friday.
World No. 1 Novak Djokovic advanced to the third round after crushing the Czech Republic's Lukas Rosol Friday night, 6-1, 6-0. The top seed held seven consecutive service games through 54 minutes of play.
Djokovic quickly built a 3-0 advantage in the opening set. An insurance break came at 4-1 for the top seed, who closed the set in 24 minutes. Djokovic kept the momentum to win the second set 6-0, losing just 8 points on serve.
The defending champion completed the match with five of 7 break points converted.
He will take on either Somdev Devvarman or Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the next round.
