    Del Potro reaches fourth round World No. 7 Juan Martin Del Potro secured a spot in the round of 16 after upending Germany's Bjorn Phau in straight sets. The Argentine moves on to face veteran Tommy Haas in the next round.

    Juan Martin Del Potro is through to the fourth round by virtue of his straight-sets victory over veteran Bjorn Phau. The 24-year-old Argentine tallied 14 aces en route to a 6-2, 7-5 win in 94 minutes.

    From 3-2 in the opening set, Del Potro captured three consecutive games to 6-2. The World No. 7 trailed by a break at 4-5 in the second, but regrouped to take the next three games to 7-5. Del Potro ended the third-round match with 28 of 33 first-service points captured.

    He is scheduled to take on Germany's Tommy Haas in the round of 16. The 19th seed defeated 11th seed Nicolas Almagro in round three, 6-3, 6-7(2), 7-6(2).
