• Raonic crushes Querrey, into another San Jose final

Raonic crushes Querrey, into another San Jose final Milos Raonic takes care of Sam Querrey in straight sets on Saturday in San Jose. Raonic, who has never lost in three appearances at this event, will battle Tommy Haas for the title.

Milos Raonic looked more unbeatable than ever at the SAP Open when he eased past Sam Querrey 6-4, 6-2 in the second semifinal on Saturday afternoon. Raonic, who is 11-0 lifetime at the tournament, needed exactly one hour--the same time as the previous match between Tommy Haas and John Isner--to make a third straight appearance in the San Jose final.

The big-serving Canadian, previously 0-2 head-to-head against Querrey, did not earn a single break point against the American in a straight-set loss at last fall's Paris Masters. This time around, however, Raonic broke serve in the very first game. That was easily enough, because he dropped a mere two service points in the entire first set.

It was all but over when Querrey surrendered serve again at 1-1 in the second. The world No. 20 saved one break point with an ace but he could not fend off his opponent's second chance. Although he did not come close to being broken (three points lost in four second-set service games), Raonic added another break of his own for good measure at 3-1. The top seed eventually served out the proceedings in routine fashion at 5-2.

Raonic, who is 22-0 lifetime in sets in San Jose, will face Haas for the title on Sunday.
