Top seed Roger Federer cruised into the weekend in Rotterdam with an easy win over Dutchman Thiemo de Bakker.
It was another easy day at the office for Roger Federer. He didn't need to move much beyond second gear to secure his straight-set victory over wildcard Thiemo de Bakker. The Swiss man served up an uncharacteristically low 4 aces for the match, but he still only lost 3 points on his first serve and faced just one break point for the match.
Federer is still looking for his first title of the year. He lost in the semifinals at the Australian Open to Andy Murray; Rotterdam is only his second tournament of the season. The Swiss seems to be on a collision course with Juan Martin Del Potro, but he'll need to get past Julien Benneteau in the quarterfinals.
