Richard Gasquet defeated countryman Benoit Paire in easy straight sets to capture his second title of 2013.
Richard Gasquet continued his excellent form this season with a straight-set beatdown of fellow Frenchman Benoit Paire (6-2, 6-3).
Gasquet began the match impressively. Paire didn't have a single break point chance in the opening set, with Gasquet winning all but two points on his own serve and almost half of the points on Paire's serve.
Gasquet wasn't as dominant on serve in the second set. Paire actually managed to secure a break of serve, but Gasquet was all over each of his service games. The world No. 10 earned a whopping 10 break point chances in the second set alone. He secured three of them to get the match win in an hour and eight minutes.
Gasquet is slated to head to Rotterdam for the start of the ABN AMRO event, also featuring Roger Federer.
