Richard Gasquet and Benoit Paire will delight the crowd in Montpellier as the two Frenchmen battle in the final of the Open Sud de France.
World No. 10 Richard Gasquet has had a fantastic start to the 2013 season. The No. 2 Frenchman already won a title this season and he advanced to the round of 16 at the Australian Open where he lost to Davis Cup teammate Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
Benoit Paire, ranked 43rd in the world, hasn't had quite the season countryman Gasquet has had. Paire began the year with an encouraging semifinal showing in Chennai, but he bombed out of the first round in Auckland to Yen-Hsun Lu and in the first round of the Australian Open at the hands of Roger Federer.
The surface in Montpellier suits both players, but Gasquet has the edge in Sunday's match because he has far more experience playing in big moments. The world No. 10 will need to continue using his gorgeous one-handed backhand as a weapon, but if it works as it has all week, Gasquet should delight the fans with a second title on the year.
