    Cilic, Melzer make Zagreb final Two-time former champion Marin Cilic is through to the final after downing defending champion Mikhail Youzhny late Saturday. The top seed moves on to face 4th seed Jurgen Melzer, who beat Robin Haase in straight sets.

    Top seed Marin Cilic advanced to the championship final after rallying to upending defending champion Mikhail Youzhny in three sets. The 24-year-old converted five of nine break points en route to a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory in two hours and 29 minutes. Cilic lost a 2-0 edge in the decider but came back to break at 3-3.

    He completed the match with seven aces and 73% of his first-service points captured.

    (4) Jurgen Melzer def. Robin Haase 7-6(2), 6-3

    Fourth seed Jurgen Melzer is through to the final following his straight-sets ousting of Dutchman Robin Haase. The veteran held nine of 10 service games through an hour and 22 minutes of play. Haase struggled with his second serve, winning just 12 of 36 points.

    Melzer ended the day with three service breaks 33 of 36 points won on his first serve.
