Two-time former champion Marin Cilic is through to the quarterfinal after defeating Grega Zemlja in straight sets. The top seed is joined among the final eight by Blaz Kavcic, who ousted 6th seed Marcos Baghdatis in three sets.

Top seed Marin Cilic made a successful start to the event, having ousted Grega Zemlja in straight sets. The 24-year-old tallied 11 aces and a trio of service breaks through 66 minutes of play. Cilic ended the second-round match with 28 of 34 first-service points captured.
He is through to face Slovenia's Blaz Kavcic in the next round.
Blaz Kavcic def. (6) Marcos Baghdatis 3-6, 7-6(2), 6-4
World No. 83 Blaz Kavcic advanced to the final eight after upsetting 6th seed Marcos Baghdatis. The Cypriot served for the match at 5-4 in the second set but was unable to close. Kavcic completed the day with seven aces and three of six break points converted.
