Australian tennis bad boy Bernard Tomic is facing double trouble from Queensland police after his latest bout of hoonish behavior.
Only days before fronting court over driving offenses dating from last January at his home of Surfers Paradise, the 20-year-old is now being probed after reportedly lashing out at officers as they broke up a brawl in which he was involved.
So far, officials say no charges have been laid in the latest case of the player dubbed "Tomic the Tank Engine" for his recent and self-confessed lack of effort on court during the closing stages of his ATP season.
Police said they spoke to Tomic after a weekend brawl with another man in the spa rooms of a local hotel. Tomic reportedly challenged police with the "Do you know who I am?" ruse, to no effect.
Tomic touched a career-best ranking of 27th in June and is now just clinging onto 49th. He has been advised from various quarters to split with his volatile father as coach and concentrate on improving his game.
