Spain’s Marcel Granollers advanced to the second round by virtue of his straight-set ousting of veteran Mikhail Youzhny. He is joined in round two by fellow Spaniard Albert Ramos, who upended compatriot Feliciano Lopez in straight sets.

Spain’s Marcel Granollers is through to the second round after taking out former world No. 8 Mikhail Youzhny. The 26-year-old converted five of 8 break points through to a 6-4, 6-3 victory in 89 minutes. Granollers ended the opening-round match with 24 of 30 first-service points captured.
He is scheduled to take on compatriot David Ferrer in the second round.
Albert Ramos def. Feliciano Lopez 7-6(5), 6-4
Albert Ramos reached the second round following his straight-sets victory over fellow Spaniard Feliciano Lopez. The 24-year-old held 10 of 11 service games en route to a 7-6(5), 6-4 success in an hour and 50 minutes. The world No. 48 completed the match with 37 of 52 first-service points won.
Ramos will face 11th seed Nicolas Almagro in round two.
