    Vienna - Matosevic rallies to upset Haase Australia's Marinko Matosevic is through to the second round in Vienna after upsetting 6th seed Robin Haase late Monday. He is joined in round two by veteran Gilles Muller, who took out Belgium's Steve Darcis in three sets.

    Marinko Matosevic made a successful start to the tournament, having upended 6th seed Robin Haase on Monday. The Australian converted four of eight break points through an hour and 38 minutes of play. Haase struggled in the final set, winning just five points on the return.

    Matosevic will take on either wildcard Dominic Thiem or Lukas Lacko in the next round.

    Gilles Muller def. Steve Darcis 6-7(3), 6-4, 6-3

    Luxembourg's Gilles Muller is through to the second round after rallying to defeat Steve Darcis in three sets. The veteran tallied 16 aces en route to a 6-7(3), 6-4, 6-3 victory in two hours and 28 minutes. Muller completed the opening-round match with 14 of 15 service games held.

    He is slated to face fourth seed Jurgen Melzer for a spot in the quarterfinals.
