Del Potro, Tipsarevic lead field in Vienna World No. 8 Juan Martin Del Potro makes his return to competition for the third week of October, as the ATP World Tour heads to Vienna, Austria for the Erste Bank Open. The Argentine is set to enter the 250 event as the top seed.

World No. 8 Juan Martin Del Potro is back on court following an abbreviated effort for Argentina against the Czech Republic in Davis Cup. The 24-year-old enters into Vienna with a 53-14 record, having sealed title-winning runs in Marseille and Estoril. Del Potro will be making his return after a left wrist injury kept him away from the game for a month.

This week marks the third appearance in Vienna for Del Potro, who finished runner-up to France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in 2011.

The top seed leads a competitive half of the draw that includes (4) Jurgen Melzer, (6) Robin Haase and (7) Benoit Paire. After a first-round bye, Del Potro is slated to open his campaign against a qualifier.

World No. 9 Janko Tipsarevic headlines the bottom half of the draw alongside fellow seeds (3) Tommy Haas, (5) Fabio Fognini and (8) Xavier Malisse.

Tipsarevic returns to competition after losing a round of 16 match to Haas at the Masters 1000 Shanghai. Following an opening-round bye, the Serbian No. 2 will commence his run against either India's Somdev Devvarman or wildcard Ernests Gulbis.
