    Tsonga, Isner advance to Winston-Salem semi World No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga booked a spot among the final four at the Winston-Salem Open, having ousted Spain’s Marcel Granollers in straight sets. He is joined by defending champion John Isner, who dismissed David Goffin late Thursday.

    Top seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is through to the final four after making quick work of 6th Marcel Granollers. The 27-year-old Frenchman led 5-0 in the opening set, then followed with an immediate service break in set two. Tsonga completed the 54-minute match with five aces and 23 of 30 first-service points won.

    He will take on defending champion John Isner for a place in the championship final.

    (3) John Isner def. David Goffin 7-6(5), 6-3

    World No. 10 John Isner advanced to the semifinal by virtue of his straight-sets victory over Belgium's David Goffin. After winning the opening-set tiebreak, the American took a key service break at 2-2 in the second set. Isner ended the night with 21 aces and just nine points surrendered on serve.
