Murray advances, Hewitt goes down in Cincinnati No. 3 seed Andy Murray made quick work on court of American Sam Querrey, but it was a tough day at the office for Lleyton Hewitt, who took a bad loss to Viktor Troicki.

Andy Murray (3) def. Sam Querrey 6-2, 6-4

Olympic gold medalist Andy Murray showed no signs of the knee injury that caused his withdraw from Toronto last week. The Scot was on court and hour and a quarter in a tidy straight set victory over American Sam Querrey.

Murray's first serve percentage hovered right around 50% for the match, but it was more than enough to hold off Querrey on the return. The American earned just two break points and couldn't convert on either. Murray broke three times in the match to dispatch of Querrey.

Murray advances to the third round, where he will take on Jeremy Chardy.

Viktor Troicki def. Lleyton Hewitt 6-2, 6-0

After his fantastic straight-set win over Mikhail Youzhny on Monday night, Lleyton Hewitt--currently ranked 134th in the world--came out flat. Viktor Troicki broke Hewitt's serve immediately and strode out to a 3-0 lead before Hewitt finally won a game. The Aussie had chances in the opening set to break back, but he wasn't able to convert. At 5-2, the Serb closed out the set with another break of the Hewitt serve.

Troicki rolled through the second set without resistance. Hewitt did not take a single game, and the match ended in just a tick over an hour.

Troicki will play Juan Martin Del Potro in the third round.

There was no sign of a knee injury because there wasn't one. Strategic tanking from "honest" Murray.
