  • Djokovic, Tipsarevic on collision course in Cincinnati

Djokovic, Tipsarevic on collision course in Cincinnati Fellow Serbs and familiar foes Novak Djokovic and Janko Tipsarevic just faced each other in the Toronto semifinals. Now they are in the same Cincinnati quarter along with Marin Cilic and Alexandr Dolgopolov.

Novak Djokovic will be making a quick turnaround at the Western & Southern Open after surviving a long, rain-filled week in Toronto and capturing another Masters 1000 title. Djokovic, who rolled over Richard Gasquet on Sunday, joins fellow seeds Janko Tipsarevic, Marin Cilic, and Alexandr Dolgopolov in the last section of the draw.

All four seeds--not just the world No. 2--are in fine form. Tipsarevic reached the Toronto semis before losing to Djokovic, Cilic won his second title of the season last month in Umag, and Dolgopolov recently triumphed in Washington, D.C.

This quarter also features the developing story of Donald Young, who has lost 16 consecutive matches and is rapidly approaching the all-time record. Young, who is 2-19 overall this season, will go up against qualifier Jesse Levine on Monday.

A whopping four qualifiers are in the fourth quarter of the bracket and no two are facing each other in the opening round. The only two first-rounders without qualifiers involved are Dolgopolov against Nikolay Davydenko and Andreas Seppi against Robin Haase.
