    Querrey, Berankis advance to Los Angeles final Two-time champion Sam Querrey is through to another final in Los Angeles, having ousted compatriot Rajeev Ram in straight sets. The American will contest the title against qualifier Ricardas Berankis, who defeated 6th seed Marinko Matosevic.

    Second seed Sam Querrey reached Sunday’s final after upending fellow American Rajeev Ram in straight sets. The 24-year-old led 4-1 in the opening set, then leveled a 1-4 deficit in the second. Querrey led 3-0 in the tie-break before sealing the match with a forehand winner.

    He completed the evening with 11 aces and 83% of his first-service points won.

    Qualifier Ricardas Berankis is through to his first ATP World Tour final, having upset 6th seed Marinko Matosevic Saturday afternoon. The 22-year-old Lithuanian broke serve at 5-5 in the first set, then raced to a 5-1 advantage in the second.

    Berankis held nine consecutive service games without facing a break point.
