Three-time Wimbledon winner and current television pundit Boris Becker will work with the BBC on it's London Olympics tennis coverage
But Becker has said he would not mind being around when the men's 100 meters is run at the Olympic stadium.
The 44-year-old told DPA that he's happy to be a part of the Games and honored to have carried the Olympic flame in the torch relay. "It was very emotional. It was a huge honor to be asked - and then to run in front of 10 000 people. Being German, this is not common in England - and that shows the respect I get in this country."
The former great said he's hoping for a German medal in women's tennis from Wimbledon semifinalist Angelique Kerber.
He added that he could not understand the decision by his national federation not to give comeback king Tommy Haas a wild card into the tournament. "I would have wished that Tommy Haas had been nominated after his success in Halle (title) and Hamburg (final). But unfortunately that is a political decision."

It must be a political decision because Haas is now an American citizen. Since Dr. Ivo pulled out Germany got to put Philip Petzschner in who is ranked #92 and Haas is ranked #35. Crap decision although PP is good on grass.
