Kohlschreiber, Mayer headline Olympic-stricken week It's a modest week on the ATP Tour with most of the top players of the world heading to London for the Olympics, with a Saturday start for tennis on the schedule. Germans Philipp Kohlschreiber and Florian Mayer headline the proceedings in Kitzbuhel.

The 2012 Olympic Games start this weekend, so it's no surprise that a relatively weak field is on tap for the bet-at-home Cup in Kitzbuhel. That being said, it's considerably stronger than Los Angeles as it boasts fellow Top 25 Germans Philipp Kohlschreiber and Florian Mayer as the one and two seeds.

Kohlschreiber will open against qualifier Attila Balazs at the top of the bracket before a possible encounter with either Lukas Rosol or Antonio Veic. The world No. 23 ended Rosol's Wimbledon run in the third round after the Czech had stunned Rafael Nadal in five sets. Rosol dismissed Teymuraz Gabashvili 7-6(4), 6-1 in his opener on Sunday.

Mayer awaits a tough second-round matchup with either Simone Bolelli or Horacio Zeballos. Other contestants in the world No. 24's quarter include Martin Klizan and Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo. Klizan, the No. 8 seed, survived his first-rounder 6-1, 3-6, 7-5 at the expense of wild card Dominic Thiem.

Joining Kohlschreiber and Mayer with opening-round byes are No. 3 seed Robin Haase and No. 4 Albert Ramos. Haase's nearest seed (Guillermo Garcia-Lopez) is already out while Ramos could run into Ernests Gulbis in the quarterfinals. If the seeds hold to form, semifinal showdowns will pit Kohlschreiber against Ramos and Mayer against Haase.
