• Tipsarevic leads the field in Gstaad

Tipsarevic leads the field in Gstaad Stuttgart champion Janko Tipsarevic is scheduled to take the court in Gstaad as much of the men's field stays in Europe in anticipation of the London Olympics.

Janko Tipsarevic is the top seed in Gstaad this week, but the Serb made it through some tough matches in Stuttgart last week to capture the title. He may be fatigued from his efforts.

But the Credit Agricole Suisse Open has homegrown Stanislas Wawrinka to save the day. Wawrinka will come into Gstaad fresh, especially since as the No. 3 seed, he earns a first-round bye.

Wawrinka shares his half of the draw with No. 8 seed Bernard Tomic and Colombian clay-courter Santiago Giraldo as well as with top seed Janko Tipsarevic.

The bottom half features No. 2 seed Marcel Granollers, who also put in a full week last week, making the finals in Umag, where he lost to Marin Cilic. Also in the bottom half are No. 4 seed Mikhail Youzhny and No. 5 Feliciano Lopez.

With the top two seeds playing a full week last week, this will be a good opportunity for others to take advantage. In particular, Wawrinka should be poised to put on a good show for his countrymen.
