    Almagro, Simon lead field in Hamburg World No. 10 Nicolas Almagro will continue his clay-court effort for the third week of July, as the ATP World Tour heads to Hamburg, Germany for the bet-at-home Open. The Spaniard enters the 500 event seeded first.

    World No. 10 Nicolas Almagro is back on court following a runner-up finish to fellow Spaniard David Ferrer at the SkiStar Swedish Open. The 26-year-old will be making his seventh appearance in Hamburg, where he completed a run to the finals in 2011.

    Almagro leads a competitive half of the draw that includes (3) Juan Monaco, (5) Fernando Verdasco and (6) Philipp Kohlschreiber.

    Additional players in the same section are Jarkko Nieminen, Fabio Fognini, Bjorn Phau, Jeremy Chardy, Albert Montanes and former world No. 3 Nikolay Davydenko.

    Almagro is scheduled to begin his run against Germany's Tobias Kamke.

    Defending champion Gilles Simon headlines the bottom half alongside fellow seeds (4) Umag winner Marin Cilic, (7) Florian Mayer and (8) Viktor Troicki.

    The 27-year-old Frenchman is set to commence his bid against Argentina's Carlos Berlocq on Monday.
