Tipsarevic, Monaco headline Mercedes Cup The ATP Tour is heading back to clay for a brief time after Wimbledon. This week's 250-point event in Stuttgart boasts Janko Tipsarevic, Juan Monaco, Bernard Tomic, and Tommy Haas.

Three clay-court tournaments headline a busy but unspectacular post-Wimbledon week on the ATP World Tour. One takes place in Stuttgart, where Janko Tipsarevic is the top seed at the Mercedes Cup.

Tipsarevic is looking to bounce back from a third-round loss at the All-England Club to Mikhail Youzhny. The Serb has an opening bye but will have to be on top of his game from start to finish. Potential second-round opponent Albert Montanes is slowing down in a hurry, but the Spaniard is always dangerous on the slow stuff. In the quarterfinals Tipsarevic could meet Lukas Rosol, who famously shocked Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon.

No. 3 seed Bernard Tomic, the other recipient of a first-round bye in the top half of the draw, also may have a tough path. The Aussie has been slumping in part due to illness, and his opener will likely come against clay-court specialist Thomaz Bellucci.

The title favorite could be No. 2 seed Juan Monaco, who is in the midst of his best year on tour. It includes a semifinal showing at the Sony Ericsson Open and titles on the clay courts of Vina Del Mar and Houston. Monaco's half of the bracket also features Pablo Andujar, Nikolay Davydenko, and Tommy Haas.
