    6/23/12 1:37 AM | Kelli DeMario
Ferrer faces Petzschner for UNICEF Open title World No. 6 David Ferrer looks to win his second title in 's-Hertogenbosch, as he takes to the court against World No. 145 Philipp Petzschner. The players are set to contest their first career meeting on Saturday.

Top seed David Ferrer made his fifth ATP World Tour final of the season, having outlasted France’s Benoit Paire in three sets. After splitting the first two sets, the veteran took a 5-0 advantage in the final set before closing the match, 7-6(5), 3-6, 6-1.

Ferrer is bidding for his 15th career championship title Saturday afternoon.

World No. 145 Philipp Petzschner reached his third ATP World Tour final by virtue of his straight-sets ousting of Belgium’s Xavier Malisse.

The 28-year-old German will attempt to win his first title since 2008, when he sealed a championship-winning run in Vienna.

    Prediction: Petzschner in three sets.

It will be Petschzner in 2 sets; not 3- the key is Ferrer will not equal the 4 tournaments Roger and Nadal lead currently in 2012; everyone will put money on a 3 setter- the first set will be close but if Petsczhner pulls this off which I think he will - another German will win in 2 weeks ie Halle- haas and here petzschner; also with the Olympic comments Roger made regarding Germans etc ranking- this will be another shot in the arm for them...........

Congrats to Ferrer for the win. Like I said on another thread, Ferrer is playing well on grass this year. So now he's the first player to win on hard, clay and grass this season. Well done!!
