• Murray remains a Wimbledon optimist

    6/22/12 11:35 PM | Johan Lindahl
Murray remains a Wimbledon optimist Andy Murray will once again carry the fading dream of a home Wimbledon men's singles winner into next week's start at Wimbledon.

The fourth-ranked Scot says that the goal of somehow living the dream is what keeps him going during down moments in his career.
“I think about it a lot when I’m training, when I’m struggling in practise or when I’m finding a running session or a cardio session very tough,” the 25-year-old Scot said in the run-up to Monday's start.
“It’s something you think about and tell yourself to give you that extra motivation. It’s (Wimbledon) been fairly challenging because the expectations rise and you are putting more pressure on yourself. But I am probably more used to it now than I was a few years ago.”
Murray's appearances have been ended at the semi-final stage at the last three editions. He was drawn to play former Top five Russian Nikolay Davydenko in the Wimbledon first round.
This time, Murray, hopes, it might be different after taking on Ivan Lendl as his coach at the start of 2012. "We’ve done some different things in practice than normal and, hopefully, they’ll pay off when the tournament starts."

I wouldn't call it a fading's not like this is the last Wimbledon that will ever be held, or that Murray is the last player that will ever come out of GB...
