• Hot-head Harrison says racket slid, not tossed

    5/30/12 8:26 PM | Johan Lindahl
Hot-head Harrison says racket slid, not tossed American hot-head Ryan Harrison has already broken his New Year's resolution not to throw a racquet in anger after losing his temper during a first-round French Open defeat.

The 20-year-old, who reminds many of an aggressive young Andy Roddick at the same age, was unapologetic, saying his stick "slipped" out of his hand in the heat of battle as he went down to French seed Gilles Simon.

The number 56 received a warning from the chair. "The only reason I got the code (violation) there was the racquet ended up sliding down to the backstop in the court. They have the place where the ballkids sit down there.

"I didn't feel like I was out of control with that one. It seems like because of my past temper, that every single time anything little happens, you guys (media) will ask about it.

"But I think we can all agree that I've made substantial strides in that department. To keep harping on that I feel like would be a little unfair to me. I've made a really big commitment to make that better."

Oh dear, the toys were thrown out of the pram!

Ha! Just won another round of guess which article Lindtall wrote based on the headline. 3-0 so far. Anything anti Rafa, pro fed or over hyped sensationalism.

" that every single time anything little happens, you guys (media) will ask about it."

... Case in point. LOL (like Chris Chase on Yahoo)

he's only young! good to see he cares...fed and nole threw the baby out of the pram in the early starts to their careers! get over this, quite pathetic

chr18, hope he doesn't end up how? A world number 1 and grand slam winner? At least Andy's got personality...and Brooklyn Decker.

what's worse imo is a 30 something veteran throwing water bottles around for the ball kids to pick up.
