• Murray puts aside Raonic loss to focus on Madrid

Murray puts aside Raonic loss to focus on Madrid Andy Murray will put aside his Barcelona disappointment after crashing out in a quarterfinal to Canadian Milos Raonic 6-4, 7-6 (3).

The Scot will take a week off before heading into next weekend's start of the Madrid Masters.

Raonic, ranked 25th, has achieved only his second clay semi-final after stunning the second seed and world No. 4. Murray is putting his worries behind and concentrating on the positive as he faces the next month alone, with coach Ivan Lendl heading home to Florida until the French Open starting May 27.

"It was important to play a few games on clay, I had some good tennis from time to time," said Murray. "It's most important to get ready for the upcoming Masters 1000s (Madrid and Rome).

Murray, a Monte Carlo quarterfinalist who admitted that he's had a difficult time trying to make the change from hard courts to clay, praised Raonic's big game. "Milos has always played well on hard courts - now he's a threat on all surfaces.

"He's got a huge serve; you must find ways to neutralize it. If you manage, you have options."
