• Murray-Lendl designed to be part-time

Murray-Lendl designed to be part-time Andy Murray is the first to admit that his coaching relationships with Ivan Lendl is designed to be part-time for the former champion.

While the 51-year-old Lendl may not be on the sidelines at every event for the Scot world No. 4, Murray and his new mentor since January remain in constant contact. "I speak to him after every match," said Murray after going down in the weekend Dubai final to Roger Federer. "I was never going to do the whole schedule with him."

While Murray was making his mark in the emirate, Lendl was at home in Florida, playing the week before in a senior match and losing a final to Spain's Carlos Moya., Murray and Lendl had a training block for a week or more in Florida in February with the pair not due to meet again until the Miami Masters starting in mid-month.

"We worked on some things before coming here, just been trying to put them into the matches little by little. This week was a good start," said Murray before flying to Los Angeles to prepare for the weekend start of the Indian Wells Masters.

"The plan is we did the period after Australia, then he's going to be in Miami," Murray said of Lendl. "Obviously depending on (April) Davis Cup I might stay there after the (Miami) tournament and practise on the clay a bit there. I'm not sure yet.

"Then he's going to be in Monte Carlo, Barcelona, and then the week after Barcelona as well I'm going to do some training. We'll be spending a lot of time together between now and the French Open."

The draw is out.

The first potential seeds for Nole, Rafa, Roger and Muzza are: Anderson, Granollers, Roanic and Troicki respectively. This is the first time Federer and Raonic will meet, that should be interesting.
