Federer headlines action in Rotterdam Former champion Roger Federer makes his return to the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament for the third week of February, looking to capture his 71st ATP World Tour title. The world No. 3 enters the draw as the top seed this week.

World No. 3 Roger Federer heads to Rotterdam aiming to regroup after a disappointing opening-round in Davis Cup. Host nation Switzerland lost their tie with the US 5-0, which included both a singles and doubles defeat for the 30-year-old.

Federer, who took home the Rotterdam crown in 2005, leads the top half of the draw that includes (4) Feliciano Lopez, (5) Richard Gasquet and (6) Alexandr Dolgopolov. Additional players in the section are Mikhail Youzhny, Robin Haase, Paul-Henri Mathieu, Alex Bogomolov Jr., Jarkko Nieminen and former world No. 3 Nikolay Davydenko.

The Swiss will commence his bid with a first-round match against Frenchman Nicolas Mahut.

World No. 7 Tomas Berdych leads the bottom half of the draw, where he is joined by fellow seeds (3) Juan Martin Del Potro, (7) Viktor Troicki and (8) Marcel Granollers.

Other competitors in the same section include Ivan Ljubicic, Philipp Petzschner, Michael Llodra, Philipp Kohlschreiber, Andreas Seppi and Marcos Baghdatis.

Berdych is slated to meet countryman Lukas Rosol in the opening round.
