    Monaco through to VTR Open final, Chela upset Top seed Juan Monaco is through to the championship match after recording a straight-set win over France's Jeremy Chardy. He will take on fellow Argentine Carlos Berlocq, who dismissed countryman Juan Ignacio Chela.

    (1) Juan Monaco def. Jeremy Chardy 6-1, 6-4

    Former finalist Juan Monaco made the final match in Chile, having upended Jeremy Chardy late Saturday. The Argentine led 3-0 in the opening set then secured an insurance break at 4-1. Monaco continued the momentum to lead 3-0 in set two. After losing a 4-0 advantage, the top seed took a final break at 5-4.

    (7) Carlos Berlocq def. (2) Juan Ignacio Chela 6-3, 4-6, 6-0

    Seventh seed Carlos Berlocq advanced to his first tour-level final following his three-sets ousting of second-seeded compatriot Juan Ignacio Chela. After splitting the first two sets, Berlocq built a 5-0, double-break edge in the decider. By virtue of the semifinal victory, he moves to 2-0 lifetime against Chela.
