Youzhny wins, Lacko into first ATP final Mikhail Youzhny beats Michael Berrer in straight sets on Saturday in Zagreb. Youzhny is joined in the title match by Lukas Lacko, a straight-set winner over Marcos Baghdatis.

    (3) Mikhail Youzhny d. Michael Berrer 6-3, 6-4

Youzhny booked his spot in the final of the PBZ Zagreb Indoors by taking out Berrer in one hour and 28 minutes on Saturday afternoon. The Russian needed just one break in the first set because he saved the only break point he faced to consolidate the advantage. A hold at 5-3 wrapped up the opening frame of play for Youzhny.

Zagreb's No. 3 seed donated serve once in the second set, but his return game continued to be in fine form. Berrer struggled to win service points even when he put his first deliveries in play. The underdog German donated serve two more times before Youzhny closed out the proceedings on serve at 5-4. Youzhny will battle Lukas Lacko for the fourth time in their careers in Sunday's title match.

    Lukas Lacko d. (6) Marcos Baghdatis 7-5, 7-6(3)

Lacko is through to his first career ATP final after getting past Baghdatis in one hour and 47 minutes during semifinal action on Saturday. The unseeded Slovak took control early with a break in the third game of the match only to give it right back at 2-1. Lacko broke again at 5-5 in the opener and this time he made no mistake with the set on his racket.

Whereas Baghdatis fought back from a break down in the first, he gave away a break lead in the second. The Cypriot donated serve at 4-2 and was eventually extended to a tiebreaker. Lacko took care of his serve throughout the 'breaker and earned mini-breaks at 2-1 and 5-3 for a huge advantage. The world No. 97 converted his first match point at 6-3 to advance. Neither player double-faulted a single time and Baghdatis finished with 10 aces to Lacko's two.
