World No. 1 Novak Djokovic will be looking to secure a place in the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, as he faces fellow Serbian Janko Tipsarevic early Friday. The compatriots are set to contest their fourth career meeting.
Top seed Novak Djokovic will attempt to regroup after suffering a straight-sets loss to group leader David Ferrer. The 24-year-old holds a 3-0 edge against Tipsarevic, which includes a recent hard-court match at the 2011 US Open.
Djokovic enters into the critical match at 1-1, having earned a 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(3) win over World No. 7 Tomas Berdych earlier this week. He is bidding for his 71st match victory of the season.
Tipsarevic is slated to continue his campaign following a 6-2, 3-6, 6-7(6) defeat at the hands of Berdych. Although the 27-year-old cannot qualify for the semifinal, he stands to earn substantial prize money and valuable ranking points should he pull off an upset.
Prediction: Djokovic in straight sets.

I reckon Nole wanted to make amends for insulting Tipsy during the DC by implying he could do better playing at 60% fitness than a 100% Tipsy.

If Ferrer wins, no matter the result, Nole is 2nd.
If Berdych wins, no matter the result, he is 1st, Ferrer 2nd and Nole out.
