Rafael Nadal will continue the battle for a possible semi-final place at the World Tour Finals with the Spaniard shrugging off one of the worst beat-downs of his career at the hands of Roger Federer.
Nadal was remarkably up beat after losing 6-3, 6-0 in group play to the Swiss in one hour of total domination. With defending champion Federer already in the weekend final four at the season wrapup, Nadal still has a mathematical chance as he faces Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, another Federer victim this week.
No. 2 Nadal is not hanging his head in defeat despite losing his second set to love in the space of a month. "I accept that he played at a fantastic level, a very, very top level. It was something very special only one player like Roger can manage. I accept that and keep fighting," said Nadal of his Swiss rival.
"This is not the moment to say good bye or to go down," said ten-time Grand Slam winner Nadal. "I'm still in the tournament, I still having the chance to be in the semi-finals by winning the next match."
The last time the pair met in their 26-match series, Nadal won the French Open title over the Swiss. But indoors in London, the roles were reversed. "I didn't play really bad, but he didn't have one mistake during all the match or two mistakes during all the match. I tried my best, but it seems that wasn't enough." said Nadal.
"I accept normally the loses. This is not the first time that I lost a match like this, and it will not be the last."

Thanks for the link RITB.
I will never trade my Nada shares, as the writer points out, he will have his ups and downs but he is blue chip

Thanks for giving that link RITB. I posted a couple of days ago that fans of all the top four have to weather dark periods at different times and there is no denying Rafa is a long way off his best at the moment but there is no way I am cashing in my shares. I'm in for the long haul.

On a side note, Nadal was given Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award yesterday. It was nice to see Nadal rewarded for his charitable activities.

Rafa especially loves children and it is great that he has been recognised for his humanitarian work. Needless to say as a fan I am very proud of him.
