For the first time, red-hot Roger Federer and world No. 2 Rafael Nadal are in the same group for the World Tour Finals, with Mardy Fish and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga rounding out the field.
Though Rafael Nadal is the top seed in group B, he does not go into the year-end London event as the favorite. That distinction goes to world No. 4 Roger Federer, who just won the Paris Masters for the first time and also his home tournament in Basel.
Nadal’s form is something of a question mark at the moment, as he hasn’t played since the Asian swing, during which he lost a shocker to Florian Mayer at the Shanghai Masters. The Spaniard has had more than a month’s rest, which could work to his advantage as he’ll come in rested, or it could leave him rusty.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who is always dangerous on quicker courts, will have a chance to play spoiler for Federer and Nadal. The Frenchman doesn’t have a good record against Nadal; he’s 2-6 and he lost their last match (albeit on clay) 6-0, 6-2, 6-4. His record is only slightly better against Federer at 3-6; the Swiss also just beat Tsonga last week at the Paris Masters.
Of the four men, Mardy Fish is the biggest question mark fitness-wise. The American was forced to withdraw with a groin injury from the Paris Masters in his match against Juan Monaco. Fish will find it difficult to keep up with the field if he’s not at 100%.
What to expect: This group is likely to advance the top two seeds, Nadal and Federer. Those two have proven over the years that they can bring the goods in the important moments.

Hope Djokovic doesn't get to read he is not regarded as the star attraction.
I recall him being right miffed when all the talk was about Federer, Murray and Rafa's chances at the AO 2010 and he was under the radar.

Doesn't look good for Fish, though he says he feels no pressure so we'll see what happens...
