Another coaching relationships has hit the end of the road, with Bulgarian talent Grigor Dimitrov parting company with Australian mentor Peter McNamara on amicable terms.
The player's management announced the split at the end of the youngster's 2011 season.
The end came after the world No. 71 concluded his season a month ago with a Stockholm quarterfinal, his best showing of the second half of the season as he worked with the Australian under the wing of the Paris-based Mouratoglou tennis academy for 18 months.
"I want to thank Peter for all his dedication, experience and excellent work that helped me reach my career high ranking," Dimitrov said in a statement. "It was a great adventure going from Futures to Grand Slams with Grigor and it was an honor to coach him," added former doubles great Mcnamara.
Dimotrov, 20 years old and tipped as a player for the future since his teenaged years, reached the Top 100 under Mcnamara's wing and peaked this season at a 52nd ranking.
