World No. 14 Janko Tipsarevic won his second title of the season following his straight-set victory over compatriot Viktor Troicki. The 27-year-old secured the Kremlin Cup championship, 6-4, 6-2.
Top seed Janko Tipsarevic is twice a champion in 2011, having downed fellow Serbian Viktor Troicki on finals Sunday. The world No. 14 secured four of 12 break points, through to a 6-4, 6-2 victory in an hour and 28 minutes of play.
"It was really tough," Tipsarevic said. "We were both tight. You could cut the tension with a knife. It was like a nightmare to play against your friend.
"Even if I say I don't want to think about London, I knew it was a big opportunity for me," he explained. "Every single point counts for London now. It is going to be really hard but not impossible. If I don't qualify for London, then my next goal would be to finish in the Top 10."
"I am glad I am back in good form after a difficult summer and Asian swing and hope I can continue like this until the end of the season," Troicki said.
Tipsarevic completed the title-winning effort with 19 of 21 first-service points captured.
