Andy Murray completely dominated American Donald Young to take his 19th ATP Tour title.
Andy Murray put a screeching halt to Donald Young’s best run ever in an ATP tournament. The young American made his professional breakthrough this summer, but he made no impression on Murray at all.
The Scot, who is targeting Roger Federer’s No. 3 ranking position, took the Bangkok title with the utmost ease. Young won just 20 points total in the match, with only eight points won on return.
Young, who played an exhausting three-set thriller in the semifinals against Gael Monfils, appeared to have nothing left in the tank on Sunday.
Murray will head to Tokyo where he will make a bid at the Japan Open.
