World No. 1 Novak Djokovic looks like a probable choice to face Juan Martin Del Potro, as defending nation Serbia trails Argentina 1-2. Davis Cup singles competition is set to resume on Sunday.
Doubles team Viktor Troicki and Nenad Zimonjic kept Serbia’s chances alive, having downed Juan Ignacio Chela and Juan Monaco in straight sets. The defending champions had been placed in a must-win situation, following back-to-back losses in singles.
World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, who sat out Friday’s singles with a back injury, may return on Sunday to meet former World No. 4 Juan Martin Del Potro. Del Potro pushed Argentina’s lead to 2-0 on Friday, after downing Janko Tipsarevic in straight sets.
Should Djokovic return to take on Del Potro, he holds a 4-0 advantage in the series, which includes two straight-set victories on hard-court.
If the World No. 1 is not fit to play, compatriot Viktor Troicki trails 0-4 against Del Potro.

Delpo took 1st set against Novak..tight set in tiebreaker 7-5
Which surface is this played in? And is it played in Serbia or Argentina?
sanju , 9/18/11 3:24 PM
^^
It is belgrade Arena, serbia... hadrcourt
mani4Tennis , 9/18/11 3:31 PM
oh so loads of pressure for home team Serbia and to Nole too to pull off the win against Delpo
sanju , 9/18/11 3:33 PM
It is played on HC indoor and it is played in Belgrade Serbia. Delpo's serving and FH is out of this world. Novak is stunned and in addition to fighting Delpo's incredible preasure, is also fighting with his pshysical issues. His body language and movement is way below his 2011 level. He is really forcing the issue. I just hope he won't regret playing today? If he looses which may as well happen at the rate the match is going right now, Serbians will be all over him and no matter what he has done throughout this year and what he has achieved will not matter. Nole knows that very well. As much as he is a Serbian icon when he wins, he can also turn into a failure in their eyes in a blink of an eye!!!!!!Very strange love-hate relationship. They will certainly not give him a medal for courage just because he is playing injured!!!!!!! The preasure Serbs put on Novak is way greater than the preasure he gets on an international level.....
arailic , 9/18/11 3:34 PM
Now a set and a break down!!!!! No chance for Nole and the Serbs....
arailic , 9/18/11 3:38 PM
arailic..You talking of Nole? He has come down from 2 sets down to defeat Fed..snatched many victories from brink of defeat this year..Nothings over till the last ball is played
What physical issues is he fghting? I mean werent he and Rafa both gassed out after the final..I dont think either suffered any injury..It was just fatigue
sanju , 9/18/11 3:42 PM
I think nole is going down here in 3 or 4 sets .He is looking very tired.
mani4Tennis , 9/18/11 3:43 PM
Damn..is he retiring again ??
mani4Tennis , 9/18/11 3:45 PM
Retired ...3rd official loss of the year including 2 retirement...Now Fed,Murray and Delpo all 3 has beaten nole of 2011..common rafa what are you doing!!
mani4Tennis , 9/18/11 3:47 PM
Finally a withdrawl and a face in agonizing pain!!!!!!!! Tears and terror!!!!!!! Jelena's face has said it all from the very beginning~~~~ He should have never played..... His end of the season does not look to promissing!!!!
arailic , 9/18/11 3:47 PM
Sanju it is back/rib injury!!!! That is the reason why he did not play from the beginning!!!! No fatigue!!!!! This time he could have not come back from a two set deficit.................
arailic , 9/18/11 3:52 PM
Yes but why did he venture to play in the 1st place and screw the countrys chances?
He is putting his countrys pride on the line right?
Also this retirng when things are not going good for him and hes behind will not do well for him..however genuine it may be..Its happening twice now..first to Murray and now to Delpo
sanju , 9/18/11 3:55 PM
I agree with you completely!!!!!! However you don't know how is was criticized by his own people for not playing in the first place?????? I was stunned with what I read on the forums calling him a traitor a faker that only cares about money and not his country....... Pathetic!!!!!!! I agree he should have not played but the Serbian captain and all Serbian officials insisted he plays and again there is proof of that too.....
arailic , 9/18/11 4:07 PM
arailic - who cares about the end of the season??
He won 3 GS, thats it...nothing else matters
atul1985 , 9/18/11 4:07 PM
arailic, really sympathise, because Lloyd put the same pressure on Andy to play Davis Cup and Andy made a wrist injury a whole lot worse.
deuce , 9/18/11 4:10 PM
I forgot to add, take nothing away from Delpo he played a tough and outstanding match.... His serve and forhand are 1st class and even a healthy Djokovic would have had a fit with it!!!!!
Atul1985 agreed, but health is important and from what I know some were even talking about back surgery.......
arailic , 9/18/11 4:11 PM
nole was in tears. as a fan, just awful to watch.
no one knows why he agreed to play today, big mistake if this becomes a serious injury.
mriiidula , 9/18/11 4:13 PM
Is this Rafa 2008 revisited?
Do you folks remember- after winning like 8 titles from March till August - 3 on clay, French open, Queens, Wimby, Montreal/Toronoto, Olympic gold ..post US OPen (semis)..he like had to miss rest of season with injury..didnt participate even in WTF that year
I though dont remember wat injury he got though
Yes arailic..shouldnt have played in the first place..He gave enough fodder for now people to comment on sportsmanship (retiring when chips are down..he had this retiring issue pre 2011 too and was infamous for it which led players like Fed/Andy Roddick to take jibes at him )..And if he was emotionally manipulated and forced to play..even worse
sanju , 9/18/11 4:26 PM
Any link to the retirng and tears?
arailic..why did u say tears and terror? why terror?
sanju , 9/18/11 4:32 PM
hmmm. I had a nasty feeling this would happen. There goes the season.
samprallica , 9/18/11 4:47 PM
I watched the match directly on Serbian TV. When I come accross links I will forward.. Anyway he left the arena in tears and was in tears laying on the floor after hitting a forhand.... Did you watch the match????? Terror because the signs of pain were on his face from 4th game on and when he finally collapsed it was just sad to watch!!!! Of course he was emotionally manipulated and forced to play in a direct as well as indirect way....As much as the Serbians love Nole, they also are very hard on him and criticize him for the smallest little things!!!!!! Any Serbian will tell you that!!!!!! Anyway he had no business playing knowing that he has a problem and knowing what issues he's had in the past pre 2011 when retiring when chips are down.... agreed....
arailic , 9/18/11 4:49 PM
horrible decision-making all around for Serbia this weekend. Horrible.
RickyDimon , 9/18/11 4:53 PM
Anybody know if the Argentinian team is safely at airport? Or Nole loking at comment of arailic? Is he safe among his people after the retirement of the century?
You know the serbain way has been talked by Zare a lot and I hope they do not take the retirement to seriously.
Sienna , 9/18/11 4:57 PM
Ricky - Are Davis cup matches counted in W-L statistics for the season?
arailic..what surgery u talking about? Back surgery ? Surgery is extreme..
No I didnt see the match..hence asked u wat terror u talking about..were the fans in the stadium hard on him after he pulled out retired
sanju , 9/18/11 5:02 PM
yes they are sanju.
But be free to confirm it ricky.
bleck , 9/18/11 5:51 PM
Yes some were!!!! There were still normal people who understand!!!! Don't know details about the injury/surgery. Nole gave his interview at the press conference. He of course said the decision for him to play was the decision of the entire team. He also mentioned that he had symptoms of the injury at the beginning of the USO and it just got worse at the end of the 3rd set playing against Nadal. He takes the blame for playing and loosing even though he was just 60%. He appeared at the press conference with a doctor and the doctor mentioned that the press conference should be very short because they have to immediately do further investigation of the extent of the injury.
Just something important to mention: When Nole did not play his first match the Serbians were criticizing him that he only cares about bagging millions of dollars and that he does not care about the country and that is the reason he does not live in Serbia and does not pay taxes in his country that Nole's country is Monaco......... The Serbian prime minister of course was attending the match today and the whole tennis affair is Serbia has turned into a political affair. Too much preasure on Nole to prove his loyalty to his fans and country.....Haters will always hate....... Life goes on, but this is also proof how intense the schedule is for all the professionals... Something must change..........
arailic , 9/18/11 5:59 PM
Listen did you guys see the Pod? if he fits in the pod then there is nothing wrong with his back.
Sienna , 9/18/11 5:59 PM
he shouldn't have played in the first place...selfish decision by Captain Obradovic...Nole was not going to play but he was FORCED to do so...very bad decision indeed...it's Troicki's fault that he lost to a lower ranked player...Nalby is once again the hero of the Argentina DC Team...
natashao , 9/18/11 6:00 PM
First come first...Delpo played rock solid match...
Nole did his best... he had to play... there was no other choice...
There are still more than 90 percentage posts on Serbian sites that are so positive to Novak...
Haters will be haters... idiots are there... probably the same ppl who will praise him tomorrow again ...LOL...
Just hoping that injury is not serious enough to jeopardize continuation of season...
Nole...skip some tournament... get rest, get well and everything will be OK...
Hyena... When I gave you nick that was coz it sounded similar... but it is realy your character... You got horny watching Rafa in pain.... and now what... multiple orgasm???.... such low, slimy subhuman person you are....
zare , 9/18/11 6:28 PM
I suspect Nole wants the last big price, so he offers DC for it.
All eggs in the WTC basket.
We know how he thinks and operates.
Question; who is the player ranked #1 with the most retirements?
Sienna , 9/18/11 8:29 PM
This would be great match if it was finished. Delpo was playing great... but it was sad to watch Djokovic making mistake on almost every FH/BH on the run. Whenever he has to do extreme torso twist, he got UE. Also his second serve was really bad, as slice serves also demands maximum stretch... Knowing what haunts him, it was easy to see that he has problems, and he is trying to save hi injury... You might pass with low rank player, on bad day... but not Delpo.
When I saw that he is not in doubles, I knew he still struggle with injury. I think that logic behind Serbian tactic is that if they pass doubles, it is worth a risk to fight Delpo with Novak.
Novak is very rational and sensible regarding injuries. He always put his health above his goals, and he was criticized for his withdrawals. I guess that playing home, in front 20k people, he had put in his head that destiny of DC depends on him. It was:
1) Selfish. Troicki failed, he was the one who should challenge Delpo.
2) Stupid. Arriving few days before match, having shorter practices, fighting jet lag, and having injury that didn't cooled off, can be only called stupid.
3) Naive. Crowd wanted him, they were supporting him whole year, he wanted to show in front of them. 20k people, full Arena, chanting his name... It is naive that you have to risk your health and carrier because of them. 20k people went home, to watch Volleyball finals, and since Serbia won, nobody could even remember what they were doing earlier today. Crowd has short term memory loss, your injuries don't.... body remembers all.
So sorry for the guy.... I know that he knows all this... I just hope this won't leave scars... If he torned intercostal muscle, it will take 3-6 weeks to heal. That means 3-6 weeks without any activity. So he probably won't be ready for season...
Rib injuries can't be properly healed, as they cannot be immobilized and fully rested. With breathing he is always moving muscles, so it might take time...
atg , 9/18/11 8:53 PM
Djokovic should not have played. He knows his body. The decision is ultimately his.
RickyDimon , 9/18/11 8:54 PM
Sad that in record books he can't surpass Johnny Mac's season with the less defeats but who cares. 3 Slams are 3 Slams.
torres9 , 9/18/11 9:08 PM
Credit to Delpo for really playing some good ball today, he could do no wrong, playing razor sharp tennis, very focused and dialed in. Sorry things had to end on such a disappointing note for Djokovic. Very obvious that Davis Cup meant a lot to him, but it simply wasn't worth him risking his health, knowing full well he wasn't anywhere near 100%. With that said, I applaud him for at least trying.
Djokovic is clearly the best player in the world. He's had a mind-blowing, phenomenal season, won all the big titles (except the French), dominated both Rafa and Fed, and captured the No. 1 ranking, along with 3 of the 4 majors, so there is clearly nothing left for him to really prove.
Given the fact it's been a long, exhausting season, it's probably best for Djokovic to take a bit of an extended break, give himself time to heal from the injury, and get some much needed rest.
djb247365 , 9/18/11 9:20 PM
? you don't dominate a guy who held 2 MP at a slam against you.
Sienna , 9/18/11 9:49 PM
It's 4:1 for Nole this season... so it is domination... but again against explayer in thirties... that's nothing special, hyena... isn't it?
zare , 9/19/11 12:05 AM
The only thing tougher to watch than Nole writhing in pain was Mayweather sucker punching Ortiz with his hands down and the referee looking outside the ring after a fake hug and getting credit for a win.
numero , 9/19/11 4:15 AM
2-1 in the slams where it should really have been 1-2 is no domination. Nobody knows what happens teh next time they meet. Matchup is as close as it can get.but it is free world call it as you like.
Sienna , 9/19/11 9:32 AM
Oh I forgot youre from serbuia and you donot believe ina free world. or freedom to others to be precise.
Sienna , 9/19/11 9:35 AM
Arailic, what are you talking about "Any Serb would tell you that"?! No one insisted he plays - it was a mutual decision. During practices he was testing himself and decided that the injury he had during the USO was not serious. I just hope it's not that serious and that he'll skip Beijing or whatever he plays next and rest his body and mind.
I was there, at the match. First serve in second set he hit was 137km/hr. Others weren't much stronger. And then he screamed and collapsed in pain. During the whole match he was touching his back and side. Just like during the USO finals. It was obvious that the high intensity of the match and sudden, sharp movements affected him.
Get well Nole soon!!! ;)
danica , 9/19/11 9:51 AM
Sienna, if you are from the States, you have no idea what a free world or freedom is.
danica , 9/19/11 9:57 AM
Well Danica I am not, but I did not likemany serbs celebrate the attackon the twintowers
Sienna , 9/19/11 10:06 AM
It's amazing how comments from some posters change depending on the player.
First off, if Djokovic had this huge amount of backpain prior to the USO, then why didn't he see a doctor, obtain an MRI and had other tests done? This is similar to the shoulder pain in Cincy, where he claimed he had the pain since Canada, but didn't bother to get tests coz he didn't have the time to do so. Dunno, but I find the shoulder and back situations to be very similar, in that, the pain was so bad, but yet he and his team didn't think it necessary for him to see a doctor, but still let him keep on playing. His back pain only surfaced after Rafa beat him in the third set of the USO final, and nothing more was mentioned about the back after that day.
The only comments made concerned Djokovic's complaints about the USO being held over until Monday, which made his schedule difficult. However, he didn't think that way in 2010, when he was the beneficiary of the extra day's rest. Also, if his back was so painful, one would think he'd have welcomed the additional day's rest this year. At no time, prior to the 3rd set in the final and after, did Djokovic mention his back pain, nor did he seek treatment. for this back that was hurting before the USO begain. I thought it was the shoulder htat made him retire in Cincy, but that miraculously got better prior to the USO, and I guess the shoulder pain then wormed its way down to his back. A Very strange situation.
I'm sorry if I sound cynical, but I honestly can't seem to understand this back situation. All the brouhahha about the shoulder when he retired boiled down to him being tired. What's the diagnosis for the back? I would think his first priority after the USO final would have been to see a doctor, have tests done, and rest. Those of you who feel Djokovic's in so much pain, why aren't you all questioning his callous attitude neglecting to obtain proper medical treatment. I'm sorry, but I don 't buy it, from past episodes when he retired. It's strange that he can only lose, oh no, make that retire, due to an injury.
I remember whenever Nadal cited an injury, a lot of tennis fans condemned him for mentioning injury and stated that he only loses if he's injured. Roger's back pain was always criticized. That said, why isn't the same cirteria being applied to Djokovic, the king of retirements? Also, why the big fuss concerning this DC retirement, didn't he retire vs. Davydenko a few years ago in DC and then hopped a plane for France to play there? On that day, the histrionics were plentiful, coz all he had was the flu.
I think Novak wanted to play coz he wanted the glory, but he didn't expect DelPotro to play as well as he did, and when he couldn't keep up, he pulled out the old retirement card. The guy's a drama queen.
scoretracker , 9/19/11 10:18 AM
Scoretracker,
If you watched the USO final carefully, which you obviously didn't, you could have noticed Novak first grimacing in pain a couple of times, before he started to stretch between the points and touch his back. Then, in fourth set, came the MTO, during the break. To all who care, it was more than obvious he was bothered. To those who
just want to see people mauled for their monies, it was a cowardly act. As far as I am concerned, and I consider myself a huge tennis fan, any player, ANY player, has ALL the right to call it quits, retire, ask for doctors as much as it's needed for whatever reason... just to preserve strength and health. Sore throat, or flu, or plain cold can be life threatening during the extreme physical hardship. So, who are we to judge any of them for their decisions? Walk in their shoes and then make a comment.
Sienna,
your comments are so tasteless and disgusting, one cannot believe such low life exists. They speak volumes about you.
danica , 9/19/11 10:40 AM
@danica: I'm sure you read my post in its entirety? to reiterate, if this back problem was so bad, then why didn't Novak get to a doctor during the USO? His health should have been first priority. And, after the USO, why did he hang around NYC instead of seeking medical attention, knowing full well he had to play DC? I'm a Fed fan, and I can tell you that when he had his back problems, many Djokovic fans made fun of him. many claimed he was faking it. Also, now that djokovic has been winning so much, his fans are making absurd comments about Fed, that he'll never win another slam, and he should retire. some even go as far as to say, he's finished, stick a fork in him.
As for walkichg in their shoes, I think this situation should teak some Novak fans a lesson, that in the twinkling of an eye any player can fall very hard, so it's senseless to make fun of the others whenever they have a set-back.
I'm not saying Novak does not have the right to call it quits, but when it's olther players that become injured they are not given the same consideration by some Novak fans. Last week I saw one of Novak's deranged fans insulting roddick for his drop in the ranking. Now any tennis fan, who's got any knowledge of the sport, wuld know why Roddick dropped to 21, but this nasty guy had to make a mockery of the guy's fall in the ranking. I supose you knwo the saying what goes around comes around? Andy has had a ton of injuries since last year and just recently fell out of the top 10, what if the same were to ahappen to Novak, would his mentally deranged fan like it if people made fun of his idol? I doubt it.
I don't think it's fair to say that sienna is a lof-liefe, coz then you'd have to say the same about zare, who dishes out the foulest comments on this site.
scoretracker , 9/19/11 11:00 AM
@Danica, I did watch the USO on replay, not the live match, which made it possible for me to replay quite a lot of it, and yes, Novak was pulling at his shirt, but that only happeneend after Nadal's form began to improve. I also saw the MTO and how quickly Novak recovere, which has left a lot of doubt in my mind with respect to his back injury.
Tell me something Danica, don't you think it would have been wise for Novak to see a doctor prior to the final, considering the amount of time off he had on the days play was stopped, especially since he claimed the pain got progressively worse since the beginning of the USO? I'm sorry, but some of the stuff Novak says and the events that occur don't correlate, which is why I find it difficult to believe his injuries.
scoretracker , 9/19/11 11:07 AM
lof-liefe should read low life.
scoretracker , 9/19/11 11:10 AM
scoretracker: I share your cynicism. The histrionic screaming, writhing, tears etc. were OTT. It will be interesting to hear the outcome of the medical report and to know how long it will be before he is able to compete again.
But at the end of the day, he chose to play knowing he was (to quote his own words) 'only 60% fit' rather than let Troicki take his chances against del Potro.
ed251137 , 9/19/11 11:14 AM
ed, you need to look at the video when he dropped to the ground. It was so carefully orchestrated, that I had to think he should be in movies. He didn't fall as someone who's actually hurt, and dropped down in pain, while hitting a leg or some body part. Even the screaming was not the sound of someone in pain. It was like stunt-acting, and very carefully orchestrated, ensuring no damage was incurred while fallikng to the ground. While on the ground, with his butt up in the air, he placed his arms under his head. Who thinks of that when they're in real pain? Those who want to to believe the guy's hurt, all power to them, I think it was all an act.
He's ensuring that he can now dedicate his time for the WTF, without DC hanging over his head.
scoretracker , 9/19/11 11:42 AM
I forgot to mention, that prior to the USO, Novak claimed his shoulder was fine, and made no mention of his back. The back only surfaced after the 3rd set in the final. Until yesterday, Novak nevermentioned anything about his back bothering him again, since th USO. I'd like to ask how does one measure if theyt are 605 or 100%? Is there a device that measures this type of fitness? Lol.
scoretracker , 9/19/11 11:46 AM
Listen Danica I would not have brougth things up, but Zare is the one with the Serbian way etc... I only show a different site to that serbian way. Do you want to deny the celebrations that were on the streets after 9/11? ofcourse that's the serbian way. Well the way is not so pretty.
Call me a lowlife they were there and did mutch worser stuff then me the lowlife.
LMAO about the so called injury.

Scoretracker he sleeps in the Pod. Have you seen the small thing if he fits the pod he must be ok.
Sienna , 9/19/11 11:51 AM
I have to admit, part of me felt bad for the guy while the other part can't help but wonder whether he really was in that much pain.
But this is really getting to me...we all know humility isn't Novak's forté, but did he really say that at less than 60% he had a better chance than Viktor (who had help win the doubles match on Saturday) at beating an in form JM? Really. Perhaps he should have made a more emphatic statement..."I thought I should handle this one because frankly, my buddy there is not half as good as I am, and the big guy across the net might just give me a few truckloads of errors to work with."
I don't hate Novak. Really. I'm just a tiny little bit ticked.

Now if this is not bigoted, i don't know what is.
phoenix , 9/19/11 12:18 PM
@sienna aka hyena...
You are not only chauvinist, ignorant idiot... you are also simply a liar... "serbian way" is your receipt ... trashing Nole and Tipsy... She comes here only when when her extreme right party got sick of her and tell her to stay at home and cool of a little...
"Oh I forgot youre from serbuia and you donot believe ina free world. or freedom to others to be precise." - Sienna , 9/19/11 9:35 AM
...this moronic sentence should be enough ...to show that hyena is just that, what she's trying desperately to criticize... so Danica... don't loose your time trying to reasonable with idiot.
Scoretrasher is a little bit different story... at least he tries to hide his hate about Novak and his nation... not to good must admit...
He is even calling for changes in sport just to eliminate Novak. Retirement of Nole would be only satisfied news for two of those delusional Fed worshipers.
Scoretrasher... I am more than sure that Nole will run to MTI and immediately send you results... What do you know about Novak's humanitarian work ... obviously nothing... but ignorance about something was never obstacle for you to post about it.
Fact is...simple, two poor soul cannot stand fall of their fake idol... and everybody else is guilty...Nole...Rafa...Andy....
Hyena I see that Rafa cramping is not your favorite anymore... more perverse satisfaction in copy/paste option for you isn't it poor soul...
zare , 9/19/11 1:08 PM
scoretracker: I know, I saw the incident and the action replay. It requires one to suspend disbelief to not suspect it was choreographied to make a bad twinge look like a serious injury when a humiliating loss was looming.
Academy award is comming up........Sienna. For the first time ever one of your comments caused me to lol.
ed251137 , 9/19/11 1:10 PM
ooh careful ed., btw it looks as if it might be safe to come out to play..;) Seriously though, don't you think if you like a player you will like them almost whatever they do and if you don't, you'll look for reasons to justify your dislike? I don't mean you in particular, btw, just seems human nature.
deuce , 9/19/11 2:41 PM
This zare fellow is a problematic one I see. No composure, no finess, no politness ...
So if someone doesn't talk bad about djokovic and is a federer fan that person is "...tries to hide his hate about Novak and his nation...". So even admiting a person hates djokovic that person hates serbia as well.
All the trash talk and the name calling and the accusations are in reality indicating that you must be a very sad insecure person and most probably hating federer and his fans you expect fans of other players to be haters as well.
Let me assure you that people can be a fan of one player and not hate that player's rivals.
P.S.: Sienna don't pay attention to zare's posts he's/she's not worth it.
bleck , 9/19/11 2:44 PM
LOL to be accused of being a bigot when speaking of serbs? LMOAO. They probably invented the whole thing.
Sienna , 9/19/11 3:25 PM

Thanks I guess she knows onlyone way to deal with problems.
I will stop with the serb thing I feel not so good on it, but it was instigated by Zare a few weeks ago. And Novak made some stupid remarks at the beginning of the year about the hardshipo of onoly the serbs etc. That one went really wrong with me. If you know something of Europes history you should know what I mean, But it stops here. Iwill not engage with her/him furthermore (not worth it.)
Sienna , 9/19/11 3:31 PM
@Sienna, I think it is time to put nationality aside, as this went so far. Go back to trashing posts against players, fans, as it has some touch with site thematic. That is probably only reason for tolerating your presence here.
Those stupid remarks toward Serbian nation and history are inline with overall stupidity you have shown here, so it doesn't deserve attention. But the problem I see here is that your posts are constantly moving the limits of toleration, bringing level of discussion below moral standards of majority of visitors. Your provocation toward other users are luring them unconsciously to drop to your level and then you fight them with experience :)
I don't know why moderators allows such flaming and spamming as it is having eroding effect which slowly moves this site out of radar of true tennis fans. On the end it is moderators choice what kind of posters they want to keep, as coexistence is impossible.
atg , 9/19/11 4:26 PM
You use the word stupid often enough. But you are way out of line about trying to trick me into something i did not say.
I address serbs and the serbian way because Zare has often enuogh engaged in figths ending it with referring to the Serbian way and claiming they know how to deal wioth those or that in Serbia. Well call me stupid I dont care there must be something wrong when she is using those kind of ilwised statements.
Novak adressed the hardship of (only) the Serbs in the last decades in a victory speach. How on earth is that possible they have killed and tortured many many many people, so to refer to the hardship of the Serbs like that is with total condempt to the people done hard by the serbs and ofcourse history.
So lighten up on me adressing them, they have done enough to be mocked around a little on the internet.
But you feel free to speak to me again and then I will see if I talk to you again.
Sienna , 9/19/11 4:55 PM
atg, your last paragraph is very wise. What kind of site do the moderators want and what kind of posters do they want to keep.
eg there's an awful post on "Argentina through...." It should've been deleted straight away. It's bound to provoke fans of Nole and off we go. I don't agree with censorship but there are limits.
I really like this site. I find the articles by Cheryl, Ricky and Kelli very interesting. I like 90% of fellow fans. I want to stay but won't if I'm subjected to the kind of personal abuse that's being going on for the last few weeks. No point.
deuce , 9/19/11 5:14 PM
sienna... I think it is time to say to you painful truth... Where did you saw post that I have declared myself as Serb?
...you are so ignorant and giving yourself freedom to trash one nation.... Go and take look in Hague Tribunal... Do you know that your beautiful country is on trial?... coz of incompetence in Bosnia. Your Duch Blue Helmets are on trial... and bosnians are accusing them... you know that you poor girl?
Posters who are here more than 2 days like you and your only friends fleur and scoretracker know that I was fighting nationalism and chauvinism here... protecting Davidenko or even your fake idol... when he was accused for racism.
This is not place to speak about politics... but this rubbish from hyena mouth is getting worse and worse... Don't make me copy/paste...
Sienna your comment was about Serbian way...bonding... killings !!!
You are talking about that..? You? Your nation robbed half of Africa for centuries...
go and lear something...
But as always ... you will continue to trash talk... completely ignoring facts???
You were worried about Argentinians in Belgrade... most of them are still there... in loved in Belgrade and Serbian hospitality ...lol... riots??? ...that is much more possible in your town if price of cannabis goes up...
Pathetic!
I will make this even more interesting now.... One of us will go from this site... moderators will have to react...
zare , 9/19/11 6:47 PM
You are losing it. You ask a Surinamer about the history of the Nederlanden? Withthis posts you have excelled yourself inthat what you say I am.
We both know about the Serbain way. Liar liar pants inf ire.
I thougth the history of the serbs was relevant because we could understand the talk he gave after him winning a toernement. Remember! Him talking about hardship. That was politics dear Zare and if you do not know that then I pity you.
Sienna , 9/19/11 7:08 PM
Deuce... there was one post in "Argentina trough..." and Ricky deleted it... this is same person with new nick. I can understand that Ricky, Cheryl can't seat all day and deleting posts from some idiots.... but Sienna is spilling garbage on this site too long...
You saw this site in USOpen... when sienna fleur.. disappeared... this was place where we could talk about tennis and about our favorites...
There was no insults between Rafans... Nole fans and Andy fans...
There was a respect.
But with scoretracker, sienna and fleur this site is becoming trash festival! Fact that they are all Fed fans speak for itself. I have never argue with numero for example who is die hard fan of Fed. So it is not about Fed fans... it is about few persons with no moral and ethics. Probably in their empty lives this brings some kind of satisfaction.
As sienna said to fleur " We are backed by GOAT" ...ridiculous... Fed would be embarrassed with such fans.
Fed is guarding sienna's back....LOL... Fed is sending his medical reports to scoretracker ... and Novak not.... hilarious....
zare , 9/19/11 7:12 PM
scoretracker,
"However, he didn't think that way in 2010, when he was the beneficiary of the extra day's rest."
Just FYI, Nole wasn't the one with the "extra" day's rest, Rafa was.
stu , 9/19/11 7:20 PM
So hyena now you are Surinamer? Before you were Nederlander... so even about that you were lying ... Novak speech after tournament ??? What on earth you are trashing now!
Now hiding and now you are Surinamer... ofc I should have expected something like that... like real hyena... never ready to stand behind her words... just ready to attack corpse!
Fact is that YOU have brought politics ind nationalism on this site... and don't speak about Serbian history coz you know nothing about it!
zare , 9/19/11 7:21 PM
zare, no, not about all Fed fans by any means. Strangely enough, the majority of fans who write on here really appreciate Fed's play, only a tiny minority dislike his style. So it's all crazy! Trouble is we're all supposed to go in for blind worship, very unhealthy.
Perhaps we should just stop giving some people the "oxygen of publicity" what do you think?
deuce , 9/19/11 7:23 PM
zare, it's still there so there must've been two such comments! God help us! And people wonder why you get angry.
deuce , 9/19/11 7:28 PM
Funny...I remember... when I came here maybe 3 years ago... one of my first post was "Roger is great player". Tomorrow... when I opened TT I was shocked... maltheser and one more poster attacked me... He is God...He is Divine.... how can you insult his game describing it like only GREAT.... Woooooow.... Posters with similar manners are here again... Unbelievable.
Geeeeeez.... I was even trying to comfort sienna.... when she was "devastated " after Fed's SF... but no... some ppl simply don't know to stop!
zare , 9/19/11 7:33 PM
My post to sienna after USO SF:..
...
"Sienna you don't have to be devastated, Fed just played two master sets... lower his game in 3 and 4th. In 5. set he was back... mentally and physically... he had missed his chance and Novak used his chance.
It was tight match. Your idol has 30 years... and he is still in SF, QF... of all grand slams.
He is still a GREAT player... but the legend is over.
zare, 9/10/11 11:50 PM"
...
Where is arrogance... gloating... where is that finger (after RG SF)... So nobody can say that I haven't try to have normal conversation with this person!
zare , 9/19/11 7:44 PM
zare, hmm, sounds a bit familiar to me, if u know what I mean......
deuce , 9/19/11 7:45 PM
Yes deuce it's still there... I don't want to copy paste coz Ricky was really fast with first one... surely he didn't notice this one yet.. It's not easy with us... so passionate fans :)
zare , 9/19/11 7:49 PM
You would not know how someone can have two country's? Arrogant, narrow minded,etc etc.
Try mixed parents lowlife. Something certainly not appreciated inthe Serbain way.
Sienna , 9/19/11 8:45 PM
"lowlife????"... be carefull... beeee veeery carefull... now scoretracker will jump on you for name calling.... but ... well... I have feeling he wont do that :)))
My father is Serbian.... my mother is Croatian... my wife is Macedonian .... my birthplace is Kosovo.... and you are talkin' me about SeRbian way!?!
You POOR, SICK, DELUSIONAL SOUL!!!
zare , 9/19/11 8:53 PM
I, like last dinosaur, was and still am Yugoslav.... and lowlife scum and morons like you destroyed my country... so basically you can call me Palestinian ...
You are now making this very personal... be careful creep... I am just starting to warm!!!
So now you have two countries... and you don't know shit about Nederlanders... and as you say it's your country.... or Surinam.... poor girl.... even hyena has to make stand sometimes... you don't even know what you are....
zare , 9/19/11 9:00 PM
@sienna: "You use the word stupid often enough"
I crossed line here, please accept my apologies... Calling you stupid would be insult for stupid people.
@zare, the most effective answer to an insult is silence...
atg , 9/19/11 9:12 PM
I must join with deuce in saying that these personal, biased, prejudiced comments have no place on this site. It is disgusting to have to come here and read some of this unseemly filth.
Comments about someone's nationality, race, ethnicity have absolutely no place here in what is supposed to be a discussion of tennis.
I wonder what kind of site Cheryl and Ricky want. The nastiness and hostility and uncivility has been escalating for some time now. There are only a handful of offenders, but that's all it takes to disrupt a site and destroy an enjoyable discussion.
Hatespeak has no place here. I have been here for some time now, have enjoyed some intelligent discussions about tennis and have found people to admire and respect.
What a shame that a few miserable haters are allowed to cause so much chaos!
Nativenewyorker , 9/19/11 9:12 PM
Atg... you know "Just keep silence and idiots will rule the world!"
zare , 9/19/11 9:16 PM
I also wanted to say that it has to be more than annoying for Cheryl and Ricky to babysit people on this site, to make sure that they are behaving appropriately. It's not easy to monitor all of these blogs and topic threads and stay on top of the few troublemakers.
We all know who they are and so do they.
Nativenewyorker , 9/19/11 9:24 PM
Zare
of course you would not understand given the fact who you are. I've read enough of youre hateful comments to know nothing good will come out of you.
Do not engage me anymore. Youre harrasing and it is bringing this site down. Nativenewyorler is absolutely rigth to speak out to you. For weeks and weeks you are threathening bout serbain way and Im just getting started. You think people forget? I wont forget i remember every threath you posted on this site.
But I will stop now in trying to be dragged to the same level you are operating.
Sienna , 9/19/11 9:26 PM
Honey... you and I know very well about whom NNY was talking. Me or you...
What?... you are starting to lie even yourself???
My level of operating is unreachable for you girl... and I can always go on your. Just disconnect 90% percent of brain...
zare , 9/19/11 9:41 PM
@zare, now I get you... you have even more mixed than I am... mine father is Serbian, mother Montenegrin, wife Croatian. I am being proud on all nations. Also I felt hardship of all nation trough last 20 years, living through it, not watching on TV... That is why I am touched with provocation like this on tennis site, as I am sick of living trough that again.
Sorry for off-topic... I know that this doesn't help in anyway with discussion about tennis, but hope my vote will help to cease this practice of any hate speak under pretense of tennis discussion.
atg , 9/19/11 9:44 PM
Let me make this absolutely clear - my comments were NOT about zare!
It's typical of one of the worst offenders to try and use my comments for her own purposes. It is positively infuriating.
To Sienna,
Your pathetic attempt to hide behind my comments won't work! You have attacked Serbians repeatedly on this site. Your comments have been abhorrent to anyone who respects all people, nationalities, races and creeds. There is no excuse for any of it. No matter what anyone else says, you are responsible for the words you write on this site.
I must say that I am highly offended that you would even dare to think that my comments were directed at anyone but you. Both you and Fleur are in the same category. You both come on here, not to post as Fed fans, but to attack other players and their fans.
I can understand why zare is fed up with reading some of the hate about Nole and Serbians and all the other garbage you post. It's hard to ignore slurs against someone's nationality. I think zare is as fed up as the rest of us.
Nativenewyorker , 9/19/11 9:44 PM
@atg... well Montenegrin is only missing link in my big mixed Yugoslav family... and I regret it... it is such richness !
Imagine.... when I got my son six years ago.... there was celebration in four countries!
Little pinky had not idea that he was international event! LOL...
And still you have to fight with prejudice like this... over and over...
You and I are lucky guys...aren't we?
zare , 9/19/11 9:50 PM
Well NNY...just THANK YOU!
zare , 9/19/11 9:53 PM
... no comment :(
zare , 9/19/11 10:10 PM
I make it a point not to come here often, but whenever I do, I'm apalled at the amount of name calling that transpires.
Now, Zare, how did I get involved in your Serbian war with Sienna and why am I being involved in your back and forth ? I've always tried to keep politics out of my posts., albeit, there's a ton of trashing of the uS players, commentators, our president, our country, and everything else under the sun. How is it that no one, not even the Americans who post on this site find the anti-US comments to be offensive, but express their feelings on those comments against other nationalities to be despicable? I'm sorry, but I also don't understand the coded phrases some use. I thought this was a public forum.
We're all of us proud of our country's players, yet, our US players are denigrated in the worst way. For example, Roddick and Serena, are trashed in the worst manner, and no one seems to think that there should be a limit to the nastiness directed toward them.When will the regurgitation of the USO incidents stop?
With respect to Sienna's dispute with Zare, why is it that Zare is including me in their altercation? I merely stated that the name-calling indulged in by zare is way over the top. nd, I seee Phoenix is now proud to be the user of those comments. That's ganging up, whichever way anyone wants to look at it. Regardless of the situation, there is absolutely no reason why zare should refer to Sienna and as 'stinky' and hyena'.
@Zare, I'm in no way disguising anything of my feelings towards Serbians. The fact is, I don't have an opinion on their behavior, and the events surrrounding the war. I was too young to grasp the full meaning of what transpired and the politics involved. That said, I'd appreciate it if you would leave me out of that particular conversation, coz I'm in no way interested in the politics of that country. I have a hard time keeping up with what goes on here in the US, much more to have to clutter my brain with other material that 's totally foreign to me. It would be nice to see some defense towards the Americans, but that's wishful thinking.
My comments to Zare pertains to his filthy name-calling, which is uncalled for. Do we have to sink into the mire everytime someone refers to us in what we determine to be an unpleasant manner? No, we can let it go, but some are incapable of doing just that.
Dunno, but at times, I think the ganging up is unfair also, but I'll leave the parties involved to work that out among themselves.
scoretracker , 9/20/11 12:29 AM
@ed:
Academy award is comming up........Sienna. For the first time ever one of your comments caused me to lol.
ed251137, 9/19/11 1:10 PM
What a pity last night the emmy awards were presented. here in the US.
scoretracker , 9/20/11 12:49 AM
Did I ever said that you are chauvinist or nationalist?
You are just trashing Nole... not Serbians. Find me a post when I said that.
As a matter a fact... there is nothing else on TT from you... :)
zare , 9/20/11 1:53 AM
scoretracker, when someone comes on this site with the express purpose, not of discussing tennis, but of dishing out endless, person spiteful remarks about players and fans, who over the years, yes years, I've developed a gr8 deal of respect for, then I will respond. You can call that "ganging up" if you like but that's not the way I see it.
Do you know the story about the Secret Police in Germany during the second World War. They came in the night and took people away, x did not speak up, in the end x was taken away and there was no-one left to speak up.
BTW are you really defending Serena's behaviour and more importantly, lack of apology?
deuce , 9/20/11 7:53 AM
Sienna - a loss is a loss. Nole was owning Federer in the first two meetings this year and has a 4-1 record over him ;) Pure ownage for the year.
The attacks on Serbia are just totally uncalled for. I think she speaks volumes about herself when she makes such comments, typical of a brainwashed bigot who doesn't understand that the real troublemakers where world politics are concerned are the ones they consider their own friends.
samprallica , 9/20/11 8:29 AM
deuce,
Thank you for bringing up Germany in WWII. I don't want to get into the personal reasons why this means so much to me, but thank you for speaking for those who died and cannot speak.
I agree with everything you said, especially about this business of so-called "ganging up". The only ganging up I see is from the likes of Sienna and Fleur and even scoretracker. I don't tolerate any attacks on a person's nationality and that includes Americans. I don't need to be reminded of the need to stand up for Americans, American tennis players and my country. I deal with attacks as they arise. Right now it's all about Serbians and to be perfectly honest, I am sick to death of it! It's gone on too long. There is no excuse for it. Nothing that zare or anyone else says, makes them deserving of being attacked for who they are.
I also wanted to address the issue of Nole faking another injury. I know something about back problems, having survived a catastrophic car accident at the age of twenty that should have either killed me or paralyzed me. I have lived with chronic back pain all my life and sometimes acute pain. I have experience muscle spasms in my back and I can say that the it is an agonizing thing. I believe that this is what Nole was going through when he bent down on the ground and let out that roar of pain. I have screamed in agony from muscle spasms in my back and my doctors have told me that I have an extremely high tolerance for pain. While a muscle spasm may not necessarily indicate a serious injury, that pain and inability to move is very real. I watched it a few times, replaying it over and over to be sure. Nole was not faking. He did cup his hands under his head, which is an instinctive and normal reaction to laying your head on a hard surface. He couldn't get up without assistance. Nole had already taken a MTO after the end of the first set. We didn't see it on the tennis channel, but the commentators reported it. A trainer can't do anything unless there is something wrong. If he received treatment, then there was a problem.
I read on tennis.com that Nole suffered a "partial rupture of a muscle" in his back that will requre rest. That is not a serious injury, but the pain is still unbearable. I will say that Nole has to be careful to avoid making a habit out of this. He doesn't want to be the player who retires when he is losing. For now I am giving him the benefit of the doubt, because I have experienced it firsthand. His tears would be a normal reaction to intense pain and the disappointment of not being able to win for his countr'y.
I don't want to attack Nole the way so many have attacked Rafa. I do think this was real. Nole is fortunate that there is no underlying serious structural problem with his back. It's still nothing to fool around with and it will mean no tennis until it heals.
ed,
I have come to know you as a kind and generous person with a good soul. I hope you read my comments and reconsider your initial impression about Nole. I thought that maybe if the information came from someone who has experienced it personally, then you might look at it differently. I am not holding Nole up as a saint, goodness knows. However, it is my honest belief that this was very real. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt based on what I know of back problems. If this continues to happen in matches when he is losing, then I reserve the right to change my mind in the future.
Nativenewyorker , 9/20/11 8:41 AM
sampralica, 4-1 with one of the macthes being 2 match points down against the number 3 is the "ownage of the year"?!
What about 6-0 against the number 2?! With 2 wins in clay against one of the greatest clay courters?!
Is it ownage of the millennium?
bleck , 9/20/11 9:46 AM
deuce, No, I'm not defending Serena's actions, but I'm saying that she is not the only one who has done what appears to be the worst criminal action, on the face of this earth. God forbid, she argued with an umpire. Justine Henin engaged in some very underhanded unsportmanship-like behavior, so did Sharapova, giving the French crowd the finger. They are all exempt, why, is it due to race, nationality or whatever? But, for Serena, coz she's American (I see the American slurs written about her and our whole country) and she's black, not coming from a very gentile background, is ridiculed in the worst way for being born underprivileged. You can decide whether she deserved the nasty, personal, racist slurs that were leveled at her. Presently, our youngest up and coming player, Harrison, is now being picked on coz he has the guts to speak up, and throw a temper tantrum if he feels upset. Is he any worse than David Ferrer and Verdasco, Murray, Djokovic or any other non-American player? No, but he's American, so lets berate the Americans when we can. We don't see the others being picked on. There are tons of other examples of Americans being maligned, but why bother citing any, coz I'm dealing with an anti-American, anti-Fed set of people here, who will support each other, no matter what.
Tell me deuce, why do you ignore Murray's behavior, keep it hush hush, whenever he has a tantrum on court and indulge in histrionics? I don't see you speaking up that his behavior is not pleasant to watch. Bleeding knuckles and head banging on the racket can't be very pleasurable for you to watch coz you're someone who has such high moral standards, is it?
@NNY, you don't like it when anyone mentions anything pertaining to you, so please leave me out of your distorted and tainted views on what's actually happening on this site at the present time. I suppose it's the same old situation whereby you can't refrain from stepping in to gain some easy kudos (I see you already got a pat on the back from zare) for defending poor Nole (albeit last week you were criticizing him) by giving examples and references in with your usual manner when it concerns your fave . I wondered, just a couple of days ago, when it would be my turn for you to take me apart and take some huge swipes at me. I noticed that you've already put your hooks into numero with your usual digs, (which we've seen in about 4 instances) stating he's behaving in a displeasing manner to everyone, because Roger blew match points. and lost the SF.
Guess what, I'm not at all amazed anymore at the depth of your psychic powers, whereby you are able to discern exactly what's going on in another's mind, and why their comments and behaviors are reflective of their innermost thoughts. You truly are a magnificent crystal ball when it pertains to Fed posters, whom you clearly don't want on this site.
"The only ganging up I see is from the likes of Sienna and Fleur and even scoretracker."
"And even scoretracker"??? What is 'even' supposed to mean?Seems like you're in doubt here.
OK, since you've already stuck your two-faced nose into this situation, I'd like for you to show me hard examples, and I DO want to see them, of where 'even' I ganged up with Fleur, and Sienna. I don't want a mumbo-jumbo answer from you, or a cop-out, or one that's hidden behind a smokescreen of words, I want to see the facts .
I see you've gotten back into your usual mode of talking in the third person with respect to my statement on defending Americans. Was I speaking to you? NO. Did I ask you to defend the USA? No, I didn't, coz you'd never do that, coz you've had many instances that have been made available, and stuff mentioned just over the past two weeks, to which you've turned a blind eye. The complaints concerning the USO organizers didn't just stop with the organizers, it incorporated slurs on our players and our whole country, as is always the case. But, God forbid that Sienna made mention of the celebrations that were taking place in the NYC streets on 9/11, by a select group, now she's being dubbed a racist and a trouble-maker. Dunno about some of you, but I found those celebrations beyond cold and heartless, and similar to the example given by duece before I was born.
I don't need to know what you've suffered in the way of personal injuries, because you are not the topic of the MTO. You throw in these little bits of personal info, and if someone only makes mention of it at a later date, you become all blown out of configuration., e.g., the breathing that was innocently mentioned by a Fed poster.
FYI, You did dabble in some derogatory comments when Nole took an MTO after the third set in the final at the USO, because you were not happ[ Nadal lost. At the time, you stated you didn't like Nole. See how it works NNY, you delighterd in taunting numero of being upset coz Fed blew match points, but when Rafa suffered a loss at the hand of the same player, you had a lot to say, and were angry. Perhaps numero should have reminded you of your heartless remarks over Roger's painful loss to him and Fed fans. You didn't have any understanding about the MTO or empathy to share, because it was Nadal who lost. You were angry, and your anger came through loud and clear. However, now that DelPotro is involved, and just because other people are voicing their opinions, who are not part of your group, you now have a whole encyclopedia to share, or is it wikipedia on back injuries, coupled with a lot of empathy, and tyour sainted personality comes shining through. Kudos to you, NNY, as the saying goes, you done good!!!! I'm sure zare is happy he has an ally here on this site, who's willing to back him up against 'scoretrasher, 'stinkiny', and 'jungle woman/hyena'. Good job.
I" don't want to attack Nole the way so many have attacked Rafa. I do think this was real. Nole is fortunate that there is no underlying serious structural problem with his back. It's still nothing to fool around with and it will mean no tennis until it heals."
Gosh, NNY, you truly are a saint. Let's canonize her immediately, Laurel wreath and all. No, you don't want to do that, coz this is a golden opportunity for you to score some gold stars and/or brownie points. Enjoy it all.
"ed,
I have come to know you as a kind and generous person with a good soul. I hope you read my comments and reconsider your initial impreshakingout Nole."
I'm shaking my head and laughing, as this is all I can do at the moment in total disbelief; my mouth is open in disbeliief. There's so much love for Nole here, it's unbelievable. Perhaps he'll read this and send you a standing invitation to sit in his box for the rest of his career, whenever he plays. You're one of the seven wonders of the world, Mother Teresa.
-----
I'll be very frank. The situation here is not about Nole, (he's not even in the running) it concerns the fans of Roger Federer, whose presence on this forum is a huge problem for some. We are inhibiting some here from enjoying the peacefulness of their discussions which pertains to Rafa, Rafa, Raf, and Rafa. There is sm all minority of Nole fans, an d an even smaller one of Murray fans, who TRY to blend in, but if they were to be honest, it's not that easy, con trary to what is stated, and something I don't buy, coz I do see the eruptions.
It woul;d be magnanimous of NNY, who's such a saint, to do the honest thing, which is to tell the truth that Fed fans are not welcome here, and we wiupbe picked on , and ganged ujp on, un til we leave. I'd like to ask a question, since some don 't like the use of the words 'gang up", please enligainingme, if there isn't any ganing up, then why is it, when one FedNataler has a problem with a Nadal, Nole, poster, so many other posters jump in to defend the 'non-Fed' poster? dunno hoiw you folks view it, but I see it as ganging up. If you were to leave it as 'one on one', then that would be fair, but when others get involved, as me is doing at the presen t ime, scientistt I'm not a rocket scientikst, that tells me that it's called 'ganging uOliverou people can mull this olver and come up with some creative answers. I'm all ears.
NNY, please remember, I'm waiting for those instances of where I ganged up with Fleur and Sienna.
I see the same reaction and bashing towards Roddick and other Americans, but I don't see it to the same degree when it concerns originlayers of different national olrigin. Mu only thought is that there is a hatred towards Americans, which i don't ujnderstand, and yet, many Americanst, why? UnforEnglishy, for americans, they speak english, and they are loud in their comments, which shows courage of their convictions, be it right or wrong. The other foreign players curse in the most putrid language but we never hear about it, do we? I won't name names, because that will open a c an of worms and I don 't need to take on an army of generals fighting for the same cause.
scoretracker , 9/20/11 11:30 AM
Please disregard the following coz something got into my keyboard and the words are all jumbled up, the paragraph beginning with "It woul;d be magnanimous of NNY, who's such a saint, to do the honest thing, which is to tell the truth that Fed fans are not welcome here, and we wiupbe picked on , and ganged ujp on, un til we leave.

The paragraph should state: it would be magnanimous of NNY, who's such a saint to do the honest thing, which is to tell the truth that Fed fans are not welcome here by her and some others, and we will be picked on whenever we comment.
I'd like to ask a question, since some don't like the use of the words "ganged up on" please enlighten me if there isn't ganging up, then why is it when a Fed fan makes a comment to a Nadal or Nole Fan, then why is it a whole bunch of Rafa and Nole fans join in and begin attacking from all sides? I see it as ganging up. If it was left as a one on onee, then it would be fair, but when we have so many interventions by a group, then it's ganging up. Case in point, why did NNY find it necessary to intervene when the situation on hand does not concern her? If others did the same to her when she has a tiff ongoing with a Fed fan, she would be hopping mad if another Fed fan were to intervene. I hope those who don't like the use of the words 'ganging up' will come up with some insightful answers to my question. I'm all ears.

@deuce: "scoretracker, when someone comes on this site with the express purpose, not of discussing tennis, but of dishing out endless, person spiteful remarks about players and fans, who over the years, yes years, I've developed a gr8 deal of respect for, then I will respond."
Are you saying that I come on here for the sole purpose of NOT discussing tennis, but looking to insult and pick a fight? Do tell, coz it's not my intention, but if it's how you see it, then I'd like to know.
scoretracker , 9/20/11 11:52 AM
I think there is only two classes of fans here... normal and another ones... It's ridiculous to hide behind any fan group and pretend to be discriminated. I don't see problem of coexistence of fan groups within normal class of fans, but other class is having problem to coexist with themselves.
I don't come here to discuss with Novak fans, I am coming here to talk with tennis fans. I am always glad to discuss about match with fans of opposite side, as it helps me to better and more objectively analyze match.
I don't believe in fan groups and so there is no reason to take cover behind them.
atg , 9/20/11 12:10 PM
Ohhh you are good scoretracher... very good in twisting the facts...
Nobody EVER attacked Rodick coz he is an American...but coz he is bad temper dirty mouth player.
Nobody attack Serena coz she is American but coz she is terrible person. I will quote myself "Undisputed Queen of GS"... but her lack of manners... her problematic anger management .
You are just using siena and fleur. You are the guy who is adding the oil to fire... then you back up and let them burn their fingers.
Dispute is over.... as you say Serbian war... ( hmmmm...why not Duch or Surinam war) I said "no comments"... sienna said that she will not continue... AND... you are here... with three screens post just to add a little spice to TT. ... ofc... everything is from high moral ground...
Scoretracker...don't insult intelligence of ppl here... go and complain again about Nole's eggs.

scoretracker@11.52. no, in this instance I was not referring to you but responding to your accusation of "ganging up". However, while I personally do not think you come on here to cause trouble, I do find your writing confrontational and perhaps others do too?
Anyway, are you saying that Andy's behaviour on court, which is 90% self-destructive, is the equivalent to Serena's threatening umpires? To quote one of my all time tennis heroes, oh hang on, he's American, can't be true...."you cannot be serious."I didn't comment in the appropriate place, but I'll say now I find her denial of her behaviour and her refusal to apologise almost the worst aspect. Nor have I commented on Roddick. Also, to underline zare's point, if an American tennis player is criticised for bad behaviour, it actually doesn't mean that ALL Americans are being criticised.
As for Andy's behaviour, I can't believe you've read any of the posts regarding him. If you had you'd see that Andy's fans are extremely critical. In fact on the Isner/Murray thread, MonaLysa had to come to Andy's rescue. BTW the self-harming, emphasis on self, was horrible but he hasn't done it for months and months, so please cut him some slack

http://www.tennistalk.com/en/match_report/US_Open/2011/Novak_Djokovic_ -_RaNNYfael_Nadal
NNY, take a look at this thread and you'll see how much you like to gang up on others., especially Fed fans.
"I agree with lucky that samprallica's choice of words, i.e., to "suck it up", was unfortunate. It's the Fed fans who instigate this trash talk. I realize that they must be depressed these days, especially after Fed gave away the match against Nole. Instead of dealing with it, they come on here to attack Rafa and his fans. That is their way of dealing with disappointment and bitterness. Too bad on them! Why should Rafa fans just take it and not stand up to this wretched bullying. Fed fans will never get over the fact that their guy has a losing h2h against Rafa.
For what it's worth, I am not sure that Nole will dominate in 2012. I think it could prove to be a very competitive year with Fed, Rafa and Murray having their chances. Also we have Delpo still trying to regain his best form, Sod and Berdych who will try to come back strong, Tsonga, Cilic and the young guys.
Finally, there is no GOAT! If Fed fans would just face this reality and accept him as one of the greatest in his era, then their mental health would be a lot better."
Nativenewyorker, 9/16/11 7:52 PM
You guys are so ridiculous that the words 'suck it up" is offensive. Which emisphere do you live in? That's the terminology used when people get to a place that they have to accept a siktuation and even say I'll just 'suck it up'. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.
-------------------------
this one is a classic example of how NNY likes to berate Fed fans:
luckystar,
Please don't feel the need to continue to defend yourself against numero. This is what he thrives on. You don't need to prove anything. He is just trying to embarrass you because it's what he does. He would like to think that Rafa fans are as upset and as obsessed about his records as he is about Fed's supposed legacy as the GOAT. Numero could care less about Nole. He is just glad that Nole stopped Rafa from getting his 11th and 12th slams this year, closing in on Fed. You have to remember how rabid Fed fans think. Everything is about Fed and protecting his greatness. Anyone who threatens it must be denigrated, trashed, vilified and somehow made to be inferior. It's how Fed fans roll, it's who they are.
Do not let yourself get sucked into this absurd back and forth with numero! We all respect your knowledge of tennis and appreciation for the game. Numero just needs to make people feel foolish by bringing up random comments and trying to make it seem as though others don't know what they are talking about, or are contradicting themselves.
As far as torres, well he's a Fed fan. Of course, he would jump in and fawn all over numero and go after you. It's what they do. Fed isn't winning anymore, so they have to occupy themselves with something. Now they will go after Rafa fans, thinking that we are like them and cannot handle him losing to Nole.
You hang in there and don't let them get you down! :)
Nativenewyorker, 9/16/11 5:35 AM

@zare: How do I use sienna and Fleur? I hardly ever say anything to them , so it's impossible for me to use them.
Just in case your comprehension is deficient, did you read NNY's post in which she stated that it's sienna, Fleur 'and even scoretracker' are ganging up. NNY reopened the Serbian discussion. it would be best if you were to read and comprehend before you accuse me of anything.
BTW, you are the one who keeps regurgitating the Roddick/Djokovic USO problem, and you do so constantly. it's a bit boring now. Also, why do you insist on bashing Fed, if you want his fans to not bash Nole. You can't expect us to ignore your constant Fed bashings if you persist in waging war on his fans. You're guilty of starting the war then you cry foul when we retaliate. It doesn't work that way.
scoretracker , 9/20/11 1:23 PM
NNY: I am not disputing he suffered pain from the back injury - it was evident his movement was hampered from the outset. But I remain sceptical about the dramatics which preceded the retirement. If you study the moments just before he collapsed to the ground you will see he was moving freely and slid into the shot but mistimed it - bringing the scoreline to 0-3 in the 2nd set: there was no particularly violent movement involved.
I continue to believe the scream and subsequent collapse were born more out of frustration and disappointment than from acute, debilitating pain. However he made the right decision not to continue and risk doing further damage. I was not surprised by the consternation in the Djokovic camp and from the rest of the team. He should never have been allowed to take to the court in the first place.
ed251137 , 9/20/11 2:03 PM
hehehe...man you are busted and hopeless...
Your cheap demagogy is highly overrated... simply... every you statement is FALSE!
And you know that.
I am geting tired of you...sienna and fleur are better than you.
At least they are honest in their hate.
That simple technic "never answer" on facts is so cheap.
zare , 9/20/11 2:06 PM
@deuce, thanks for your civil reply.
I'll admit that I'm confrontational at times, but you've got to look at the whole picture. I'm not an instigator, but rest assured that if I'm being blamed or attacked wrongfully, I'll confront my accuser. NNY's post @9/20/11 8:41 AM, is a prime example of what I'm talking about. I don' t like being referred to as 'some people' or being spoken of in the third person. Neither do I understand why I was included in NNY's rant . If she had something to say to me, confront me, but don't hide behind a verbal smoke screen, which is why I confronted her. Those posters I have confronted have given me reason to confront them, but it's not something I derive pleasure from doing. But, that's why we blog on forums isn't it? We discuss, confront and defend. It's all good, except for the name calling. I believe that we can all learn something new from each other, that is, if we keep an open mind and refrain from lieing/embellishing and being abusive.
BTW, No, I don't think Andy's behavior is equivalent to Serena's. What I'm saying is that both forms of behaviors are unpleasant, and if we criticize one, then we should criticize all. I think that there's an intense dislike for Americans across the board, which I find to be repulsive, and people use these incidents to engage in an all out bashing of Americans, which is unfair. I don't see it being done to any other country's athletes as it's done towards us.
To be truthful, I 've seen instances where Serena has been victimized many times in the past, and nowadays with her, it's like the last straw that broke the camel's back. I'm not saying that her behavior is acceptable, but I feel that she seems to think that she's a victim. Just read her comments to the umpire at the final and perhaps you'll understand her state of mind as I think she see things. I'm not condoning what she did, but just trying to understand her reasons.
BTW, FWIW, I too think Serena should have taken responsibility for her actions and own up to her disrespectful behavior to her opponent, the umpire, and most of all her fans. I hope she'll come to understand the gravity of her mistakes and make a concerted effort to behave in a more professional manner in the future. However, I do think that the racist comments leveled at her were very uncouth, and it's to those remarks I was alluding.
Sorry, I'm unaware of any ugly comments written about Murray, as I've only been posting here since Wimbledon. I agree that Andy's behavior is very self-destructive, at times, (same as Roddick) but maybe in time he'll outgrow that trait. I hope for his sake as well as his fans, that this will happen sooner than later.
scoretracker , 9/20/11 2:08 PM
```just in case... ed this not answer to you, it's for scoretracker.
zare , 9/20/11 2:08 PM
@zare, I told you this once before, and I got suckered into it, I'm not going to answer anymore of your nonsensical taunts. You like to perpetuate nastiness by goading people, but I'm not going to fall for it anymore. You are ticked off because i've mentioned to you that you have a filthy/foul mouth, and no decent man uses such derogatory names to address women. Fleur and sienna are undeserving of the nasty name tags you've hung around their necks.
Your main objective is to get rid of anyone who does not shower your idol with praise, but that's the same agenda some adhere to with respect to Fed fans, get rid of us. I'll stick to what I said previously, you're deep down in the mire and can't find a way to get out. You condemn Federer for anything you feel like saying, then when his fans retaliate, we are the bad ones, and are faced with a deluge of nasty name calling. Have fun doing what you do best, which is to lie, embellish, incite and inflame. BTW, your thoughts on who and what I am are immaterial to me, coz I don't know you and count myself very fortunate to have never met you. I'd be in pretty bad shape emotionally, if your opinion of me were to matter, and I mean realllllly bad shape.
scoretracker , 9/20/11 2:24 PM
I'd kinda worked that out Zare :-)
ed251137 , 9/20/11 3:18 PM
Scoretracker, come on, be reasonable, Sienna and Fleur have been using tags more than anyone on this thread. I don't think sex has got anything to do with who deserves flak for being consistently insulting and off-topic. As far as I'm concerned, zare responds, its the two sisters who keep instigate. But you'll have seen enough to know what methods I advocate.
@bleck, I said "ownage for the year", not "of the year". The ownage of the year has been without doubt, Nole's of Rafa - no offence intended here.
samprallica , 9/20/11 4:14 PM
I apoligise samprallica.
bleck , 9/20/11 4:39 PM
No problem mate.
samprallica , 9/20/11 6:25 PM
ed,
Thanks for your kind reply. All I asked was for you to hear me out. We are all entitled to our own opinions here. Despite the lies and hateful garbage being once again written about me because I dared to disagree, my back problems are unfortunately all too real. The idea that anyone would even dare to make fun of it, only shows the depth of their own sickness.
It took me a while to read the diatribes in response to my comment. How flattering to see that some of my posts have been dug up and copied and pasted. It's nice to know that scoretracker would go to such effort. I have no problem with anything that was posted. If that is the best that scoretracker can do, then it's quite pathetic.
We all know who the offenders are here. It's always the same ones. However, trying to divert this into an issue of people not wanting Fed fans on this site, is a convenient if flawed way of changing the subject. If it was Nole fans or Murray fans spewing out hatespeak, I would feel exactly the same way. We can't help it if it's Fed fans who come here to personally attack people.
Scoretracker asked me for proof of complicity in ganging up. The posts directed at me and written at epic length are proof of who and what this person is all about. My goodness! I had the nerve to get involved in a discussion and that's not okay with scoretracker. This is not about getting rid of Fed fans! They left last year when Rafa was winning because they couldn't take it. They come and go of their own free will.
One more time, just for the sake of injecting reality and facts into this bizarre debate, I do not have the power to get rid of anyone. That is up to Cheryl and Ricky.
We are not ganging up, we are merely in unison when it comes to the troublemakers on this forum.
I see that scoretracker's apology to me was as fake as everything else. It didn't last long, did it? All it took was for me to enter into the discussion and then it started all over again. I think it's scoretracker who would love to get me off this site. Well, too bad because it's not going to happen.
Nativenewyorker , 9/20/11 8:26 PM
RickyDimon , 9/20/11 9:57 PM
Poor ed, she got an earful. Isn't that so like NNY to grab someone and spew out the entire contents of her distorted mind to them because they happen to be a small part of the situation that has occurred? She turns that person into an invisible podium, and then she unreels her mumbo-jumbo at them. ha ha. I doubt she even remembered she was talking to ed. Too funny.
@NNY, I knew you wouldn't have proof of any ganging up on my part, because there really is none, and the answer you provided is exactly what I had expected, nothing, zilch. You think you're smart at evading and circumventing topics that you should respond to, when you're caught in your web, by using unnecessary verbiage, but what you ultimately do, is show everyone, that you lie and make up stories, e.g., reel off false accusations. You are only fooling yourself when you do this, coz it has no effect on me whatsoever. I still think you are lying and exaggerating, using your mumbo-jumbo as a cover, and throwing in somtransferencece of guilt as the ultimate topping. In essence, your mumbo-jumbo is still evident or even more pronounced than I previously thought.
"It's nice to know that scoretracker would go to such effort. I have no problem with anything that was posted. If that is the best that scoretracker can do, then it's quite pathetic."
I didn't have to go too far back, coz I don't have time. Luck was on my side, as I found a thread just a few days old which spoke volumes. Look at the amount of people on that thread that you did battle with. It's pathetic. What that thread demonstrates is the fact that you are just a bundle of contradictions and like to insert yourself into everything, albeit you are not anywhere closely related to any of it. Looks like you become lonely and can't stand to be on the outside looking in, so you pick on something and someone, and then take over the situation. I'm sure you know that and so do others who have had to do battle with you.
FYI, you've never provided proof for any of your accusations that you've hurled at me, so why would it be any different this time? Let's just say, it's par for the course. You are what one would call an arm-chair politician, who can worm her way out of anything by stringing a few catch phrases together and lie, lie, lie. youved yhou the trolookinglookikng for anything.
"We are not ganging up, we are merely in unison when it comes to the troublemakers on this forum."
It's like I said, you gang up. Unison is just a civilized word for ganging up. You are the chief of the whole operation to get rid of people you deem to be 'troublemakers', which is another word for *people whom you don't like, e.g., Fed fans. I don't see you going after the faplayersher playersi n the top withyou do fwith Fed fans. Your agenda is to wipe this site clean, (use clorox bleach if you need to) of all traces of Fed fans, coz, then no one would be around to talk about Fed's illustrious career and remind you that your fave is second to him, as that sticks in your craw. It must be very painful for you to have to live with that thought day in and day out. You are very transparent NNY, and so very pathetic.
BTW, I'd like to know you gave you the power and the others who are of like mind, to weed out the 'troublemakers' as you put it? That's not your yob man.
I" see that scoretracker's apology to me was as fake as everything else. It didn't last long, did it?"
How about if we go back to how you dragged that apology out of me, eh? You wrote a ton as to why you were due an apololgy by stating you were referencing Sienna and Fleur, not me, which I now see was a lie, then you demanded that I apologize to you for wrongfully accusing you of targeting me, viz, "This person oles me an apology", so I complied. I now realize it was all for naught, coz, once again, you've shown you covered your tracks with a bunch of lies, when you wrote that it was Sienna and Fleujr. However, your above post, whibattlearted this b attle, shows that you were indeed targeting me. You have decided to pick on me for no reason at all. Smart move though, you were quick to turn that situation around to cover up your present behavior, by saying the apology was a fake. Oh Man, are you messed up.
For the short time I've been posting here, I've come to realize that you enjoy a good battle, which is why you insert yourself into discussions that aren't remotely related to you. You must be a very lonely person and very needy of attention.
"One more time, just for the sake of injecting reality and facts into this bizarre debate, I do not have the power to get rid of anyone. That is up to Cheryl and Ricky. "
No, you don't have the power to remove anyone from this forum, but you do a good job of trying, which is to provoke them, pick on them, and hurl accusations at them, so as to rile them up. Then when you get them all riled up, you use the content of their responses as basis for calling on the moderators to do something about this person. There's another poster here who does the same thing. You guys think you're so smart, but you're not, coz your transparency proves otherwise, viz., you're NOT.
NNY, maybe you can fool some people, but you are never going to fool me. I've seen your type operate and in the end, you'll get your just rewards. TT is your home, not mine, which means I can live my life without it. You can't do the same, as these forums provide an outlet for you. I feel genuine pity for you. There's a simple solution here, just leave me out of your ridiculous arguments, and all will be well for both of us. When I comment, it's general. I don't need to address anyone as though I'm on a podium, and I'm not here to talk with my friends, coz, I don't have any here, nor do I want any. I come here to talk about tennis, not to write 'dear friend' love notes. That's your forte, as it seems that it's something you desperately need to do to make yourself feel important. I have self-importance, and don't need to find it on a forum, especially from people who are not known to me personally. Anyone who finds phrases such as 'end of', and 'suck it up' to be offensive, albeit those words were not said to you personally, have really got a problem.with minding their own business. Not only that, you seem to have appointed yourself 'Editor-in'chief' of this forum. Cheryl had better watch out for her job. Thankfully, it's Cheryl who's the moderator andlaid-back, coz she's cool, laidback, and respectful; I like her style. If it were you, we'd all be enrolled in mandatory English 101 classes all Braun again, and salute to Brun Hilda whenever she enters the classroom. Good morning Brun Hilda.
NNY, that's it for me, I don't have anything more to say to you. Talk as much as you want, I've tuned you out.
I'll be glad when there is some tennis to discuss then you children might stop squabling amongst yourselves!!!!!
ed251137 , 9/21/11 1:16 PM
ed, I don't know if you follow the posts regularly, but I did try to bury the hatchet. I even apologized, albeit I didn't do anything wrong, and I also agreed with her on a on a topic, which I thought had sound input from her. I was genuine. Then, lo and behold, just a few days ago, I noticed NNY had referred to me as a troublemaker along with Fleur and Sienna. At that point, I felt there's no way this nonsense will ever end, and I answered her on the charges she made. It's all there for you to see on this same thread, and you were made part of it also. The topic concerned Novak. My sincere apology of a week ago was termed a 'fake'. Thus, in view of the aforementioned, I doubt that there could be any hatchet burying between us. Maybe if you read more often, you'd notice that I'm not the one who started or starts the battles. Belieive me, I'd like for nothing else than to just post my two bits of comments and go my way, without being embroiled in conflict.
Take for instance, zare's and phoenix's remarks towards me, what did I do to those two for them to be making snide remarks towards me? Nothing. However, I'm not going to answer them coz I know they are angling to do battle and I'm not game right now, as I have a job to get to.
Anyway, thanks for your concern and input, it's greatly appreciated.
On the discussion of tennis, I come here tol do just that, but unfortunately, my comments are unfavorable to some.
scoretracker , 9/21/11 1:36 PM
scoretracker, just go onto the tennisx opening home page. On the left you will see "Trunk" and "Funk"columns. "Funk" is good "Trunk" bad. Andy seems to live in the Trunk. It's meaningless to me cos in UK "funk" is a bad thing and "trunk," why that's just a suitcase :)
My point about that site is that it's clear its fan base is mainly American and it's Americans being far more critical of Serena than us Europeans. Also heard one of the Bryans actually laid hands on an umpire. That would be more shocking. And in case your wondering when, Gulbis I think though am up for being corrected, did similar he received a load of criticism on here.
deuce , 9/21/11 2:26 PM
deuce: are you thinking of the Dimitrov incident last year when he tracked down the umpire after the match and attacked him both physically and verbally. I seem to remember he was fined $2000 by the ATP.
RickyDimon , 9/21/11 3:14 PM
I stand corrected, cheers ed.
Ricky, re Bryan bros, rumours all over web. Smoke without fire? Fine, will stand corrected again.
deuce , 9/21/11 4:11 PM
Ricky: Mike Bryan was apparently fined $10,000 for an "off court incident," being kept very quiet. Is it correct? If it is that's is 5x what Serena was fined, so am afraid, does make you wonder.
deuce , 9/21/11 4:21 PM
ed,
If you have noticed, I have tried to refrain from posting in response to the epic essay attacking me at great length. It's a rather tranparent attempt to intimidate me by making even more far-fetched accusations. For someone who claims to not even know me, the level of hatred and animosity is positively weird. Just by posting here, I have supposedly engendered all of this intense, vitriolic anger? I don't buy it! Someone is not owning up here!
Also, since when can I force anyone to apologize? It's time for this person to grow up and take responsiblity! What did I do, put a gun to this person's head? It's a childish, infantile way of trying to blame me for in some way having the power to force an apology! The truth is still the same and has not changed. I did not refer to this person in my original comment. It was meant for Fleur and Sienna. Nothing has changed the innate truth of that. I know to whom I was speaking. No one can read my mind.
Phoenix merely spoke the truth about the rambling, incoherent nonsensical gibberish posted above. If others see it, then maybe it's because it reads as though this person has lost her mind.
As I have said before, there is only one person who has posted these kinds of comments about me on this site. That person was banned for doing so.
ed,
Unfortunately, we are not children. We are supposed to be grownup adults on this site. However, when someone decides to pollute this site with self-serving and increasingly absurd rants against someone, then it's hard to remain silent or ignore it. I don't intend to be railroaded off this site.
People can read this person's comments for themselves and realize that this is some kind of personal grudge. This is not the place to air personal grievances. I stand by my comment that the apology I accepted was not made in good faith.
Nativenewyorker , 9/21/11 9:16 PM
NNY, I have one question for you. who's the person who keeps bringing me into her vitriolic posts? I think you know the answer, so does everyone who can read. I believe you have a grudge and it happenend from day one I began posting here. funnilly, it was my post defending djokovic when you and another poster were denigraring his 4MS wins saying you're sure he'd trade that for rafa's FO win, and I said BS. The manner in which you responded you'd think you were raised with a gold spoon and never heard the BS acronym. From that day, until the present, every time I post on this site, you pick on me. If anyone wants to check on my posts here, they'd see that I'm saying the truth. And, you have never stopped. Try covering up your behavior with others, but I think we both know the truth, which is, I'm a Fed fan, and you hate Fed fans. You pick on numero and the other Fed fans, Fleur and Sienna, without any provocation, why? Unfortunately, I had the gumption to disagree with you, so now you're out to get me.That's the simple truth. I'm sure all Fed fans can attest to your harassment of them which is non-stop. Have fun. As usual you try to cover up your wrong-doing with a slew of over-worked mumbo-jumbo., but it's not working, as people can see through who and what you are, which is a Federer hater.
scoretracker , 9/22/11 2:41 AM
Holy Moly, when has there ever been a pole where Rafa has led Roger by 50+ points? Sienna must be sobbing in the corner somewhere. Sure hope it's right.
Maya , 9/22/11 2:44 AM
NNY: You know my views on the subject of vendettas - please dont drag me into your battle with Scoretracker. I have often come to your defence but in this instance it strikes me you are both being equally confrontational and it can only end in tears.
ed251137 , 9/22/11 3:14 AM
^^^Indoor hard courts. I think it's wishful thinking is all.
numero , 9/22/11 3:17 AM
ed,
I respect your wishes, however I have tried to turn the other cheek all too often. Over and over. I have stayed away, tried not to post on any topic threads on which this person is posting. It has not worked.
I know your feelings very well on this issue. There is no good way to handle it and it's a no-win situation. No matter what I do, I am wrong. It's either ignore it and come here and read that post on 9/21 @ 1:55 am, or say something.
If you don't know me by now, then you never will. And as far as ending in tears, it already has and they are mine. No one deserves what was written about me in that post. No one, no matter what they said or how they said it.
There are no adequate words to describe my feelings after reading it. None. I respect your feelings, and please respect mine. I don't go looking for these battles. If you have a problem with me responding, then so be it. I just couldn't take it anymore. I am not that person and it is incredibly hurtful to see words like that written. Too much hate for no reason.
Nativenewyorker , 9/22/11 5:42 AM
NNY's mission on this site is to rid it of any Fed fans, so she can then postulate how great her precious Rafa is, without anyone, Fed fans, citing Fed's illustrious career. IMO, it's the reason why she's now shifted gears and has become pro-Nole, albeit she hates him as well, and has stated so many times. By her own admission she's done that just before the USO final. This is an unstable individual who can't seem to make up her mind what she really wants, is capable of destroying others with her many mood swings, and most of all this site. Nole is now of great significance to her, in that she's hoping that he'll stop Fed from amassing more titles, which will allow her precious Rafa to get closer to Fed in the title count. NNY is as transparent as clear, cheap plastic. She claims that I'm carrying a personal grudge, albeit I'm not, but would anyone blame me if I am, considering the welcome I received from her when I began posting here 3 months ago? She went after me like a ton of bricks. Further, no one has to know NNY personally, just reading her posts, any intelligent person can summarize in their minds, that she is very vengeful and will stop at nothing to have an enemy removed. I say enemy, coz she strikes me as one, who will enact war, once she's crossed.I've tried on two occasions to make peace with her, but all I got in return was to be stabbed in the back a third time.
Another reason NNY gets on these rants is due to her over-inflated ego, whereby she feels that she can do anything, viz., persecute, humiliate, harass, and use all the ammunition that's classless to get the Fed fans banned. Her previous post of getting someone else banned speaks volumes. It's as though she's proud that she has this power of having people banned. Is this normal behavior? NO. It's someone who's insecure and can only feel empowered if they remove the competition.
I saw on another thread where NNY was dictating to the moderators that Fleur should be banned, coz she's poisoned this site. What gives this individual the right to dictate to the moderators who should be banned, and who should be allowed to post on this forum, and how and when that should be done? In many ways, it's insulting to the moderators, as she's indirectly telling them in her very crafty way, that they are not doing their jobs and are indiscretionate by allowing the wrong people, those whom NNY feels are bad for this site to post comments. That is not her call, and should never be entertained, coz all it's doing is empowering NNY to harass people relentlessly, who have beliefs that are contrary to hers, coz they support other players she hates.
Further, I've seen instances where she's stated the moderators are not paying any attention to her complaints concerning some posters, on one occasion it was a call tol have me remolved. So, what we have here is a complainer and a dictator, who must have her way at all costs, and will not stop until mission accomplished. I think she's the case of someone who's become ineffective, coz she's cried wolf too many times. She's now using another weapon in her armory, which is to criticize the moderators for not doing their job. WOW, what a manipulator this individual is, and she knows exactly how to work her manipulation to get what she wants. she's burning up coz she can't get Fleur, Sienna and myself banned.
It would be a travesty for this site to keep banning all the Fed posters, who are provoked relentlessly by someone who's full of hate for a player that some of us support. However, it's the moderators call if they want to let this individual manipulate them or to tell her to put a sock in it. I suppose I'll be notified if and when I'm banned, albeit I've done nothing wrong, but stand up to a bully who feels she's so special and must have her way at all costs.
The following posts support my comments, with respect to the authoritative manner NNY speaks to the moderators, and it speaks volumes as to how powerful she thinks she is on this forum. She's lucky that no one is as infantile as she is coz we'd all be calling for the moderators to intervene and put her out of her misery, as she wants for Fleur. How absured and the nerve of this woman.
Fleur, 9/18/11 8:50 AM,
My only response to your gibberish is to say - What?
You make no sense, but that is to be expected.
To the moderators - I think that fleur has poisoned this site long enough with her psychotic rants. She is incapable of posting anything about tennis, any rational, reasonable comments, merely coming on here to post increasingly bizarre and nonsensical ravings.
Please put this unfortunate soul out of her misery by banning her from this site.
Nativenewyorker, 9/18/11 7:36 PM
NNY, i really wish that you have any opinion on tennis at all for me to say 'your opinion doesn't matter to me, too'? But you have little close to none so you win on that basis.
Seems like to me, most of your posts is to defend Rafa. Any critisism to Rafa or Rafans by me are 'attacks'. Maybe I went overboard a number of times, sry for that, I've been told time and time again especially by you, but this is tennistalk. We criticize players.
Sosueme, really ignoring you is the best option for me, your rivals here are Fleur, numero. I have no business going in circles with you.
lucky, well, i do believe Rafa's level is not as good as it is in 2010 but not by far, but it may be due to 1)Novak suppresses his strengths 2) he's not confident which is due to not winning against Novak
Anyway, this thread is a mess now I really would like to discuss other things in other thread.
Nite, nite, kids.
scoretracker , 9/22/11 5:56 AM
NNY, "There are no adequate words to describe my feelings after reading it. None. I respect your feelings, and please respect mine. I don't go looking for these battles."
NNY, don't you ever get tired of trying to make yourself appear as the aggrieved one? I'm the one who was attacked by YOU, just a few days ago, so how can you say, you don't go looking for battles? I suppose you're the only one who has feelikngs? Put yourself in my place, i was a new poster, who got the most unfriendly welcome from you 3 months ago, because I had the audacity to disagree with concerning your criticism of Novak. It's strange that you're now defending him, coz I feel his injury was borderling on the histrionics. You go looking for ways to include me in your cancerous posts, one of which was written just a few days ago on this very thread, the whole post is there for you to read. I quote a part of it, viz:
"deuce,
Thank you for bringing up Germany in WWII. I don't want to get into the personal reasons why this means so much to me, but thank you for speaking for those who died and cannot speak.
"I agree with everything you said, especially about this business of so-called "ganging up". The only ganging up I see is from the likes of Sienna and Fleur and even scoretracker. I don't tolerate any attacks on a person's nationality and that includes Americans. I don't need to be reminded of the need to stand up for Americans, American tennis players and my country. I deal with attacks as they arise. Right now it's all about Serbians and to be perfectly honest, I am sick to death of it! It's gone on too long. There is no excuse for it. Nothing that zare or anyone else says, makes them deserving of being attacked for who they are." NNY
Below is an example of how you very subtly criticize the moderators and try to mainipulate them:
"I wonder what kind of site Cheryl and Ricky want. The nastiness and hostility and uncivility has been escalating for some time now. There are only a handful of offenders, but that's all it takes to disrupt a site and destroy an enjoyable discussion.
"Hatespeak has no place here. I have been here for some time now, have enjoyed some intelligent discussions about tennis and have found people to admire and respect."
"What a shame that a few miserable haters are allowed to cause so much chaos!
Nativenewyorker, 9/19/11 9:12 PM"
Can anyone in just conscience say that I gang up with Fleur and Senna, who have their own agenda and on-going discussions? Once in a while I'd say something to sienna on Fed, and a couple of times on the Egg Nole is using, then I enquired of Robin Haase's popularity being equal to Sven Kramer, but that's been the total of my communication with Sienna. I've never had any kind of interaction with Fleur, whatsoever. So to say that I'm ganging up with them is an outright lie, and NNY was just looking for a means to attack me. It happens all the time, and every time I post. The minute I comment on anything, her antennae comes up, and she's off on the tracks like Secretariat, with her meancing attacks. Why?
To gang up, one has to have constant interaction, and to target people who are the focus of their hate. I've not done that at any time, here or on Tennis.com, which is the only other site I blog on.
"IF you don't know me by now, then you never will. And as far as ending in tears, it already has and they are mine. No one deserves what was written about me in that post. No one, no matter what they said or how they said it." NNY
I suppose I deserve all the garbage you throw up at me each time your fingers hit your keyboard? I post at night on my break, so is it nice for me to read your pathetic comments that are strewn with lies about me? NO. Albeit I'm a lot younger than most of you here, coz, I don't know anything about Borg and McEnroe play days, Lendl or Edberg, nor the war in Germany, and was too young to comprehend the Serbian war, I think I behave with a lot more maturity than you NNY. You won't drop anything. I think you thrive on this sort of stuff, and as I've mentioned to you previously, you have a flair for the dramatics. You will stop at nothing and will go to any lengths necessary, coz you think your words will cover up your hidden nastiness. It doesn't, especially not with someone who's well educated, coz the smoke screen is in plain view, and it's easy to se through the facade.
Regardless of how much you choose to lie, your comments speak for themselves. Each time I post here, which is not often, you begin riding my tail, with some stupid veiled utterances, then you pretend that you're the one that's being picked on, when I respond. Now, we are hearing you're crying? Well, if that were true, any reasonable person would refrain from targeting another, if that interaction would cause them to cry. We stay away from hurtful things, not go after them. Seems like you have a penchant to go after the hurtful, and if so, then you've got mucho problems. Are we supposed to feel some sympathy for your tears. OK, here's a phial from Nero, Rome's Emperor, to save those precious tears, which is what he did when Rome burned, at least that's what my history books said.But we all know Nero's state of mind, don't we?
It's rather said for me, coz I love tennis, and I'd like to comment on the stuff that 's tennis related, but all my time whenever I post is spent on defending myself against this individual whose m ikssion is to get me olf this sit. What a travesty.
NNY, I stayed away from this site for two months because of you and holdserve. I returned approximately a month ago, posting for a day or two here and there, then withdrawing. This has been the longest I've posted in the past month, 3 days. Going back over some of the old threads, in my absence, I noticed you had tons of fights with others. One of the threads, from which I copied some posts, is here for you to see your numerous fights with the Fed fans. So what does that say about you? To me, it says you love to fight with the Fed fans, not argue, because people who fight dig up lie, are vicious and are personal, but arguments concern a discussion on a topic. You never have a topic to discuss with Fed fans, you just grapple onto something, and use it as a basis for a good old knockout fight, which al;ways gives a synopsis of what the other person is like in your eyes.. Your agenda is fighting, and the numerous threads bear out my thoughts on this matter.
As I've stated in my previous post, if the moderators see fit to set rid of me coz you feel that I should be gotten rid of, then so be it. I know you'll be happy, coz anyone who feels another who is not to their liking, should be put out of their misery, then that person is only happy when it's mission accomplished. Enjoy your newfound happiness, I hope it doesn't come back to bite you in the rear-end. It's a shame that the Fed posters have all got to leave coz you have so much power and that you hate Roger so much. It's a travesty and this site and the posters are the losers, because a site needs variety to be interesting. constant talk of only precious Rafa will not be stimulating enough to keep a site going, it becomes stagnant. Fed and Nole, Murray fans, provide some variety, but you can't deal with that, can you?
However, if you think that I'll back off from my stance on your behavior and your calling for the moderators to intervene is going to make me backdown when you come after me, you are DEAD WRONG, it's not going to happen. I'm not afraid of you, your mumbo-jumbo, your smoke-screen and your keyboard. As I've mentioned before, If you don't want to fight with me, the solution is simple, leave me out of your nonsensical rants. However, if you persist in including me in them, then you'll get what you deserve, I'll defend myself, and I will use your previous comments to support my position. The choice is yours.
scoretracker , 9/22/11 7:20 AM
People - I simply cannot fathom how can so much reams and reams of text be written that is non tennis related. People dont even know each other here apart from an id handle and so much effort argung and counter arguing ..for what?
Achieving anything - No only Zilch , just wasting your precious time and the sooner you all realize it, the better.
Its time we discuss just tennis here and not each other for everyones benefit :-)
sanju , 9/22/11 8:35 AM
Yes, shall we put this thread to bed now and start commenting on other articles?
deuce , 9/22/11 8:51 AM
Please do. It would be a refreshing feeling if I can post on other tennis related stuff without having to watch my back for fear of the arrows coming at me. back to Tennis.com, no arrows there.
I'm off to do better things than make this the center of my life.
scoretracker , 9/22/11 10:14 AM
Hear, hear. I'll 2nd that proposal.
title: Djokovic poised to level tie for Serbia
discussion: djokovic played at 60% (his own words) because he thought his 60% were better than troicki's 100%. That's stupid he made a terrible decision. Period.
bleck , 9/22/11 10:21 AM
I will third that proposal with all my heart! It's what I have been trying to say, maybe not that well but the sentiment was there.
Although it looks like bleck has rather neatly summed up the discussion!
I will save this comment so you will have something to eat when you decide to come back. But then you can always turn into another mystique. :-)
phoenix , 9/22/11 11:48 AM
@phoenix, did I say I'm not posting here anymore. I have better things to do, meaning I have a job to do, which is the center of my life, and posting comments is not. Get it. That little echo of the chirping bird again. Have fun doing what you do best, which is echoooooooing. ha ha
scoretracker , 9/22/11 1:31 PM
You guys could find a way to fight over anything.
I find I am in agreement with Blech. Also, I didn't "leave" Nole out of the poll. His back injury did that. How precisely is he supposed to dominate the indoor season if he can't play it? Sheesh.
cherylmurray , 9/22/11 1:59 PM
Sorry, wasn't here couple of days, the discussion went on, but nevertheless, I'll quickly respond to Scoretracker:
Scoretracker,
Zare has a different approach to that of Sienna. While he can insult others, she brings up things that should have no mention on a sport forum. I am not happy about some of Zare's outbursts and I acknowledged that in some of my previous posts, but that's him, he can be very considerate, and that's not "the Serbian way". She means it in a derogatory, racist, nationalist, what not, way. Politics and sport should not mix and she knows that pretty well. Unfortunately, since we live in this unfair world, Serbian sportsmen were victims of "politics in sports" way to many times. I purposely said she is a "low life" after reading all her tasteless and hateful comments against a whole nation and for bringing such a topic as 911 is into this discussion. History is obviously not something she knows anything about or she is an enraged Croat, muslim or Albanian who hate everything and anything Serbian. She's just pathetic. LOW LIFE. Period.
danica , 9/22/11 2:29 PM
nobody is going to have a "dominant" indoor season with Djokovic on the sideline
the question should be who is going to have the "best" indoor season and i fully expect Djokovic to have the "best" indoor season, winning AT LEAST Paris and the World Tou Finals.
RickyDimon , 9/22/11 3:07 PM
The WTF is federer's.
I say djokovic and federer share the spoils of the indoor season.
bleck , 9/22/11 4:03 PM
I think Delpo, Tsonga, Fed and Cilic are going to do well at the Indoor hard court events at Basel/Valencia and Paris. Not sure about Nole, especially when he'll be just back from injury, and I notice he did poorly last year at Paris, a very fast surface, knocked out by Llodra in the third round. Berdych, if not hampered by his shoulder injury, should be able to do well too during the indoor hard courts tournaments.
WTF: I think all top four players have their chances; it is not a very fast surface, so Rafa may have a chance to win too.
luckystar , 9/22/11 4:27 PM
Well leaving Novak out of post is joke... and a good one... I was laughing :)
Very nice touch :)) ... (smiling not ironically )
zare , 9/23/11 1:24 PM
Novak is still chasing Peking... he didn't gave up completely... they are delaying MRI checks after he started with physical trainings, hoping to see later improvements, which my give him green light for 3rd October...
atg , 9/23/11 8:57 PM
danica
you clearly live youre life in denial. I feel sorry for you.
I agree that politics should not be mixed with sports. So the olympics should never be held in China etc. And ofcourse Novak should never made that political statement after winning an tournement. Then you clearly are in denial poor Novak. Please educate youre children about the truth.
Sienna , 9/24/11 10:32 AM
Nothing wrong that Novak dedicated one of his wins to his own country. Good for him. If you do not like it, to bad!!!
Apparently Roger is out of Shanghai. Still haven't heard anything more than "at least 4 weeks out" from the Djokovic camp.
I've deleted a few posts that I considered personal attacks on other posters. please keep it on the up and up everyone.
so, I see Nole is out of the poll for the "most dominant indoor season"?! ahaha...I can't believe anyone would think that Nole is really injured...there is no way, I read he was saying it was not as serious as they thought it would be...so, he is just fine, only needs some rest...and if he skips Beijing it will be because he is smart and because he is saving himself, not because he has some serious injury to worry about...I think Nole wants WTF in his hands this year...it would really be something, wouldn't it? Nole looks really happy, having fun all over the place...I give him very good chances at the indoor season...and yes, nobody will be able to be dominant with him around, that's for sure...
