    9/16/11 12:27 AM | Kelli DeMario
Del Potro, Tipsarevic battle in key singles rubber Juan Martin Del Potro is set to face Janko Tipsarevic, as the two collide in a critical Davis Cup singles rubber. The players will follow World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, who meets David Nalbandian earlier in the day.

World No. 17 Juan Martin Del Potro holds a 2-0 series advantage over second-ranked Serbian Janko Tipsarevic. The two last battled this season in Delray Beach, where the Argentine secured a straight-set win in the final.

Del Potro is 40-13 for the year, with two championship titles captured. The 22-year-old returns to competition following a third-round loss to Gilles Simon at the US Open.

Del Potro will be looking to snag his 8th Davis Cup victory in singles.

World No. 13 Tipsarevic makes his way back to action after a quarterfinal finish at the US Open. The 27-year-old is 39-19 for the season.

Tipsarevic has contested 30 ties for host nation Serbia, having compiled a 28-11 singles record since 2000.

Prediction: Del Potro in four sets.
