Rafael Nadal just can't find the time to concentrate on reading his new autobiography "Rafa" in English.
So, the ever resourceful Spaniard will wait for an upcoming Spanish edition before finally diving into the tennis page-turner based up his first 25 years.
"Seriously, I haven't read it," the Spaniard told the German agency dpa. "I need a lot of concentration to read the book in English, and I know my life."
Nadal has more important things to consider, including the fact that the US Open is again plagued by rainy weather which could potentially wreck the second week schedule for a fourth consecutive year. The last time a men's final was played on its appointed day was 2007, with the last three finals forced over to the third Monday due to rain.
Television audience for those non-events have dived by around half, according to statistics. Nadal has been waiting for more than a day to get onto court against Gilles Muller for a chance at the quarter-final, where five-time winner Roger Federer and top seed Novak Djokovic are already already waiting comfortably.
An extra day of rest - but no chance to practise outdoors - may have done Nadal some good after the second seed was hit by painful right leg cramping during a weekend media conference, with video of him sliding to the floor behind the podium in pain circulated around the world in a matter of minutes.
