World No. 2 Novak Djokovic advanced to the quarterfinal on Monday, following his routine three-set victory against veteran Michael Llodra. The Serbian tallied his 45th match-win this season.
Second seed Novak Djokovic is through to the final eight, after taking out 19th seed Michael Llodra in straight sets. The 24-year-old, who improved his season record to 45-1, passed through the 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 without facing a break point.
He finished his effort with 32 winners and 9 aces through 101 minutes of competition.
With the round of 16 success, Djokovic made his third consecutive Wimbledon quarterfinal.
He will take on surprise quarter-finalist Bernard Tomic for a place in the semifinal. The 18-year-old qualifier defeated veteran Xavier Malisse in the round of 16, 6-1, 7-5, 6-4.
