  • Federer through to semifinal, Djokovic next

    5/31/11 7:55 PM | Kelli DeMario
Federer through to semifinal, Djokovic next Former French Open champion Roger Federer is through to the final four at the tournament, following his straight-set victory over Gael Monfils. The World No. 3 will face an undefeated Novak Djokovic in the semifinal.

Third seed Roger Federer won his fifth consecutive match in straight sets, having ousted 9th seed Gael Monfils late Tuesday, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6(3). The 29-year-old Swiss converted five of 16 break points through two hours and 34 minutes of play.

Federer trailed 1-3 in the opening set, but fought back to level at 3-3. Two set points came at 5-4 for the World No. 3, who took the set as Monfils struck a wide forehand. The Swiss continued his effort to lead 3-0 in the second set.

After losing a 2-1 break edge in the third, Federer was unable to regain the break with multiple chances at 4-4 and 5-5. The former champion settled into the tie-break with a 3-0 lead. He missed match points at 6-1 and 6-2, but closed the 6-3 point on a trademark forehand strike.

Federer completed the evening with 4 aces and 41 winners.

He is slated to face unbeaten Novak Djokovic for a place in the final. Djokovic passed into the semifinal following the withdrawal of opponent Fabio Fognini.

Its gonna be a great match on thursday, cant believe i'm gonna miss it.

mriiidula , 5/31/11 8:45 PM

Lets HOPE its a great match!!!

Monalysa , 5/31/11 8:53 PM

Thursday .. I think its Friday..why are people saying Thursday?

Last year I clearly rem both semis were played on Friday

sanju , 5/31/11 8:55 PM

Except for deluded Fed fans no one else gives him a chance!

holdserve , 5/31/11 9:01 PM

Well, I've never been accused of being a Fed fan, deluded or otherwise, but I do give Roger a chance. Not only do I give him a chance I say BRING IT ON! If Roger plays unbridled tennis (and more than ever, there's no reason not to as no one expects him to win) he could break that streak of Nole's.

Maya , 5/31/11 9:12 PM

sanju is it really friday?! then i would be thrilled, at least i can watch it..

mriiidula , 5/31/11 9:25 PM

Both semis are on Friday as per tournament schedule on the Roland Garros website. So you can be sure this is official.

holdserve , 5/31/11 9:32 PM

Maya, I revise my statement. Except for deluded Fed fans and other deluded fans, no one else gives him a chance. The operative word is deluded. Of course, "deluded Fed fans" maybe a tautology as all Fed fans seem deluded.

holdserve , 5/31/11 9:36 PM

I think Novak will prevail in 4. Although I would like Federer to win and finally stop Novak's amazing run. Someone gotta stop him.

Emiliano55 , 5/31/11 9:51 PM

I would really like for Fed to win, but beforeI think about Fed, I hope Rafa wins tomorrow in three!!!

VAMOS!!!!!!!!!

Monalysa , 5/31/11 10:58 PM

Only a foolish man would assume Fed has no chance. He has been flying somewhat under the radar with most of the focus being Nole's form and streak and Rafa's struggles. However, that may just suit him as he has been playing very, very good!
It will be interesting to see how did the extended break affect Nole and if it did.

I hope Nole wins in straight sets, but it will be more difficult than that and def a good match to watch!!

bianca , 6/1/11 2:05 AM

Yeah, only a foolish person would say low chance = zero chance. If Djokovic is not well or for some reason his timing is off, Federer can win. Low chance but definitely possible.

holdserve , 6/1/11 2:25 AM

Yes. You may call me "deluded".
But I stronly believe that this is Fed's chance and time. Somebody will go to break Djoker's streak (he will not finish this summer unbeaten) and I surely believe and hope that it would be nobody else than Fed to refrain or at least delday Djoker's claim for #1.

Colleen , 6/1/11 2:42 AM

Hey torres9 who thought Fed's semifinal was on Thursday?

holdserve , 6/1/11 3:38 AM

and I think if there is anyone be able to beat novak , it's Roger Federer undoubtedly . rightnow only a focused, consistent and aggresive federer can break djokovic match streak .if novak win this match . he will be the champion surely . this match is really important for both of them .

pnp , 6/1/11 4:01 AM

Go Fed!!

atul1985 , 6/1/11 4:33 AM

Federer will break the streak... but not here at RG, it may be at Queens. Go Novak.

Alexthia23 , 6/1/11 5:10 AM

Federer will not play at Queens ( now called AEGON championships). He usually plays at Halle. As per the ATP site, he is going to play there this year also. He is a 5-time champion there so if he wins again, then he can equal Rafa's record of winning 6 times in at least two events on the ATP tour, the other being Wimbledon ( though grand slams aren't members of ATP) and his record would be shinier as one of the events would be Wimbledon.

holdserve , 6/1/11 6:31 AM

Am huge Nole fan but Fed's looking good, so expecting a gr8 match....and no cushions needed behind the sofa foe this one. Most excellent :)

deuce , 6/1/11 6:57 AM

Fed looks good till he meets Nole. Remember how awesome he seemed at Dubai? And he really crumbled against Djoko in the final.
I always thought Djoko was better on clay than Federer but this was not evident because he kept landing in Nadal's half so dear Fed always made it to the finals.
Considering that Fed is nearly 30 i.e. if not in decline at least not in ascent and Djoko is 24 at which age a tennis player reaches his peak, the difference between the two would have increased. So unless Djoko has some fitness issue, there is no way he is going to lose to Fed. Maybe Fed can take one set.

holdserve , 6/1/11 7:20 AM

I've said this all year - I'm backing Nole to win this comfortably. Federer has the game to make him feel uncomfortable; especially with the pace-changing slice, but Nole's composure, footwork and balance are a lot better than before and I expect him to deal with whatever Fed throws at him.

samprallica , 6/1/11 7:20 AM

loved federer's presser. respect to nole, but federer had made it clear. He wants to get to the final. He has been playing some excellent tennis. great match yesterday against gael in a gale!

C'mon Federer, do it for the twins!

maxi , 6/1/11 7:33 AM

Not even twins are going to help Federer... Nole wins in straight sets

vjakov , 6/1/11 8:26 AM

haha! vjakov. you are dreaming...Federer is in the semi finals, with nothing to lose. He can play a great match tomorrow. you don't seem to understand that's it is a win-win situation for federer fans.

maxi , 6/1/11 8:57 AM

i think federer can seriously cause some problems for djokovic if he plays like how he played against nadal for one set in madrid (i think, or maybe rome?)..for that one set nadal was being outplayed. that was when fed was just hitting winners off both wings, and after the belucci match its clear that its the best tactic against nole.. i just hope nole is prepared.
the good thing is that its fed, and hence no chance of nole underestimating him. plus its a great way to finally clinch the number 1 ranking.

mriiidula , 6/1/11 9:05 AM

maxi, Fed's match is on Friday. Both semis are on Friday.

holdserve , 6/1/11 9:25 AM

federer in straight sets - 62 76 75

eduardvalalex , 6/1/11 9:27 AM

I don't think Nole fans need to worry. Of course there is always a small chance that something could go wrong but it is a small chance only. Looking at current form of both Nole and Fed, I think Nole will win comfortably. Frankly, till Rafa proves otherwise, Nole is the favorite to win the title.

holdserve , 6/1/11 9:30 AM

Go Fed!!
This is the biggest favour you can do for your dear friend Rafa:-)

@maxi - "win-win situation for federer fans".....its only a win-win situation for you, dont categorise all federer fans....not all are like you.

atul1985 , 6/1/11 9:51 AM

atul, by win win, I mean that federer was supposedly going out in the first round and he has now made the SF's! That's a win-win to me! Plus, of course he is going to be wary of novak, but then fed has the experience playing at Roland Garros so many more times than novak, am sure he'll do it in straights and win!

Go Fed!

eduard, unless you have proof, you can't go around saying things like that.

maxi , 6/1/11 10:49 AM

eduardvalalex,
how is Nole inconsistent #3? He's been number 2 for more than half a season last year. He's been pretty consistent for the past several years. He had ups and downs like everyone else. See what happens when he is consistent? Scary. He is unbeatable.

As for the semis, sure Roger has a chance. But I don't think he played great against leMonf and if that's the form he'll show on Friday, Nole is going to win.

danica , 6/1/11 10:54 AM

last exam today, cant wait to watch this with no guilty feeling whatsoeverrr.

mriiidula , 6/1/11 11:43 AM

mriiidula, enjoy :)

deuce , 6/1/11 1:59 PM

danica, i admit fed had a late start when monfils was 3,1 up, but after that, he played some great tennis.

maxi , 6/1/11 2:06 PM

Please note - Tennistalk does NOT permit unfounded doping accusations about any player. All such posts will be deleted and repeated infractions will result in a ban.

Thanks.

cherylmurray , 6/1/11 2:24 PM

it wasn't unfounded, and it wasn't an accusation. it was just a joke. djokovic doesn't look like he's on drugs. he has just improved his tennis an infinite amount of times over night. from the player that barely took a set off Rafa in a Hard Court Grand Slam Final, to the complete killer he is now, in the shortest of time. it sure seems like something drastic has happened to him, but i was just joking, 'cause it seems like a "founded" joke.

eduardvalalex , 6/1/11 3:09 PM

I like these comments... fed has nothing to loose, he is relax and so on...
It will be fourth time in row! Anyone thinks that Fed has nothing to loose. :))))

zare , 6/1/11 7:31 PM

eduardvalalex: your jokes are really funny, i always rofl when i read them, keep up the good work.

rfzr , 6/1/11 7:47 PM

zare...zare...no comment! :)

natashao , 6/1/11 7:56 PM

Wish the semis were tomorrow. I miss watching Nole on court. Seems as if he's been on at least every other day for the past 6 months :)

stu , 6/1/11 8:14 PM

I like these comments... fed has nothing to loose, he is relax and so on...
It will be fourth time in row! Anyone thinks that Fed has nothing to loose. :))))
zare
, 6/1/11 7:31 PM

zare, who cares? The man is chill.

Fed is in SF, 3 more rounds that even you predicted!

Could also be 4 times in a row for novak since October last year (though not one after the other). You forget fed beat novak 3 times last year. He'll try and do it again Friday! I'm really looking forward to it zare.

Go federer!

maxi , 6/1/11 8:31 PM

Hehe... We all know, even you, how chill he is. Just keep on with story...
He is still good, no doubt, but with players who got Fed in their heads... And if you take a look you will find my posts about him and Feli... I predicted Fed in three sets... Feli is not clay specialist, you know that, but OK, nobody here expect you to be reasonable...
We will see... I am hardly waiting for one more presser... Very well hidden under hat, eyes locked on his fingers, desperately trying to explain that mono is guilty, PMS, photosynthesis ...

zare , 6/1/11 10:03 PM

photosynthesis? LOL.

stu , 6/1/11 10:27 PM

i too burst out laughing at 'photosynthesis'.

mriiidula , 6/1/11 11:07 PM

zare, why you bring up mono? you want novak to bring up breathing problems? You cant believe in a fair game can you zare. i give up trying with you. Fed is more of a clay specialist than novak. winning FO and making 3 finals zare, he played on clay all his life. You cannot say that about novak. what are you frightened of zare?

maxi , 6/1/11 11:10 PM

ahahaha...photosynthesis...:))

natashao , 6/1/11 11:13 PM

oh dear. so childish.

newfangkc...from roge's last match against monfils...with daniel's response. you know who he is...

Question: ?Now that you?ve played against Federer, what do you think about the semifinals between Federer and Djokovic? Who?s going to win this??

Gael Monfils: ?Who?s going to win? I have no idea. As usual, you know, Roger, as I said yesterday we tend to forget this, by the way Roger is always very much present. He?s got a lot of ambitions still. However, today I wanted to offer a good match to him. But as usual, he was present. He was there. But Novak plays so well that there?s going to be an incredible match, a wonderful semifinal. I?ll be the first one to watch the match.?

Question: ?What bothers you in (Federer?s) game? Is it that he plays fast? You don?t have enough time??

Gael Monfils: ?Yes, he changes the pace, and he changes the pace so quickly. This hurts. He?s the only one almost to hurt you that much, that quickly. All of a sudden he strikes the ball.?

Federer may have lost three straight to Novak this year (Australian Open and Indian Wells: Federer won 49% of points, Djokovic 51%). But Federer remains the last player to beat Djokovic, when he blitzed Novak at November?s World Tour Finals semifinal. That was the third consecutive match that Djokovic lost to Federer (Shanghai, Basel, WTF). Djokovic has turned the tables on Federer since January. By that time Novak had benefitted from the ?doctor? he hired last July (whom he admitted is ?a great psychologist as well?). Regardless, at the French Open, Djokovic showed cracks against Del Potro, but the Argentine did not have enough match practice and confidence to exploit his opportunities (and he was a slow starter on both days). Thus it would be interesting to see how Djokovic performs against Federer on Friday. It?s likely that both Federer and Nadal have been training hard and practising new tactics to beat Djokovic (that?s probably one reason why Nadal has been patchy recently ? the changes to his ?A? Game are not yet grooved).

Federer ? like every other player ? knows that Djokovic would get the No. 1 ranking by wining on Friday. He mentioned this obvious fact in answer to a reporter?s question. If Djokovic wins the French Open and becomes No. 1 for a short term, it actually benefits Roger as it silences those pundits who had jumped on the Nadal bandwagon. In any case, a win by Federer on Friday is possible and nice, but not necessary. Federer has nothing to lose as Djokovic is the favourite. Federer?s form at Roland Garros suggests he will continue to have chances at future majors (especially Wimbledon). After Agassi reached Federer?s age today, he won three more majors over a span of 13 majors (but Andre was nowhere as consistent as Roger in reaching the latter rounds of majors or remaining among the top three players).

Federer?s level of performance remains consistently high. In ATP tournaments since 2010 Wimbledon, Federer has a win-loss match record of 68-11 compared to Nadal?s 58-11 and Djokovic?s 67-8 (despite Novak?s 41 consecutive wins this year). Federer is the only player who has reached at least the quarterfinals or better of 20 of his last 21 consecutive tournaments since 2010 Estoril (13 months ago). At this French Open, Federer is the only player to quickly win all his matches without dropping a set. What?s more amazing is that Federer faced more rounds of seeded or dangerous opponents (four rounds: No. 9 Monfils, No. 14 Wawrinka, No. 32 Tipsarevic, No. 41 Feliciano Lopez) compared to either Djokovic (two rounds: No. 16 Gasquet, No. 26 Del Potro) or Nadal (three rounds: No. 5 Soderling, No. 37 Ljubicic, No.39 Isner). Federer appears to win without much challenge because Roger has the unique ability to do a lot of different things and change his game up to disrupt his opponent?s rhythm and timing, thus nullifying their pace and game. Had Federer faced Isner, Andujar or Del Potro, it?s possible he would not have dropped a set given the form he is in.

maxi , 6/1/11 11:18 PM

....and it is possible that he wold lost...
...and if.... ...if.... ...if....
If my grandmother had wheels she would be a bus...
And you are trying to say that Wawa and Tipsy are more dangerous opponents than Delpo and Isner... C,mon maxi... You have problem convincing yourself ... Don't try with us.
...
....
It must be photosynthesis ....

zare , 6/2/11 12:01 AM

Ha ha, maxi, I must admit you do do some research and you do present some statistics (although with statistical bias). Unlike some other Fed fans here who shall remain unnamed who seem to consider supporting their arguments with facts or statistics ( whether biased or not!) totally irrelevant..

holdserve , 6/2/11 12:05 AM

I wonder if nole win tomorrow what will be maxi's argument. Not playing better as usual? Or having an off day? Or else Delpo and Gasquet is better than Monfils and Tipsy, but of course Wawa is best among them? ;-) a good statistical analysis but amazingly put in the wrong order!

bryanindo , 6/2/11 3:12 AM

holdserve,

The only problem is, maxi didn't do any research at all. She copied and pasted a post from another tennis forum which is her primary residence. It was written by someone else. I knew it the minute I read it, because there is this one guy who is a stats freak and always compiles all these numbers to make his argument that Fed is the best of all time.

That really is shameless! To copy someone else's post, all their hard work and effort and try to pass it off as your own! Now that is just sad.

I would tell you the name of the site, but I don't want to even give them any credit here. Long time posters here will know to which site I am referring.

Unbelievable!

Nativenewyorker , 6/2/11 3:37 AM

And if you take a look you will find my posts about him and Feli... I predicted Fed in three sets...
zare, 6/1/11 10:03 PM

Er zare did you remember this?

:::Cilic over Ramirez Hidalgo in 3:::
BING!!! First error... Ram got the first set:)
:::Federer over Lopez in 4:::
...this will be the second... Feli over Fed in 4 ...

zare, 5/22/11 12:48 PM

Can't let you get away with that buddy :)

numero , 6/2/11 4:07 AM

NNY,
Well, that is sad, maxi copying from another site. But even though she copied I will still give her some credit because she realizes the importance of supporting one's arguments with stats ( even though in this case the stats are biased as only data supporting Fed's superiority have been collected). I have absolutely no idea which site maxi treats as her primary residence. Is it Bleacher report? Or some Fed fan site?

holdserve , 6/2/11 5:12 AM

holdserve,

No, it's not any of the ones you mentioned. Okay, it's tennis-x, the Roger Federer blog. I saved the original post which was made by dave.

Also, let me be clear. I have no problem with someone using information from someone else. However, they could at least have the integrity to give credit to the person who did the research and invested the time and effort. He deserves that courtesy at the very least. That's all I am saying.

And yes, these stats are biased and selective, so as to support the ongoing argument that Fed is the GOAT. That's my problem with the use of stats and facts. You can sift through all of it to take only certain information that happens to bolster your argument.

Nativenewyorker , 6/2/11 5:28 AM

Lies are supposed to be of three types:
Lies, damn lies and statistical lies!

holdserve , 6/2/11 5:42 AM

to be fair, she never tried to pass it off as her own, the interview and article are so obviously copied and pasted. come on guys, cut her some slack. attack arguments, not people.

mriiidula , 6/2/11 6:39 AM

mriidula, a wise suggestion! But obviously maxi has some history with NNY and nadline.
Can't therefore give them any advice.

holdserve , 6/2/11 6:56 AM

Nole will thrash his opponent in 3 easy sets, twins or no twins. :-)

phoenix , 6/2/11 7:14 AM

I believe nole will win!!

But what if roger wins.. what would be the nole's argument over it??

A 24 yrs old nole in his peak form could not beat 30 yrs oldie!!! ..scary !!

mani4Tennis , 6/2/11 8:29 AM

mriidula,

That really is generous of you. So kind and thoughtful in your concern for attacking arguments and not people. I guess you missed one of her posts trashing me in very specific language. Let's just say that it was far from flattering. You post regularly on this site, yet I don't recall you making the same comment when she did it. Double standard, anyone?

The point is that some people cannot make an argument, therefore they resort to insulting people all the time. Or they incessantly cut and paste comments, facts, stats and/or interviews posted by people on another tennis site. If she could make an argument, then the personal insults and the "yawn", "boring" childish nonsense wouldn't be necessary.

holdserve,

Some history is putting it mildly, infortunately!

Nativenewyorker , 6/2/11 8:30 AM

Hi Mindy!

Please go and get those antiquated spectacles on! No, really. Don't worry. If you had looked closely, you will see I mentioned the poster: Here is the 'cut' and paste' I mentioned above. Bias? pow/wow Mindy. You are so massively deluded.

newfangkc...from roge's last match against monfils...with daniel's response. you know who he is...
maxi
, 6/1/11 11:18 PM

so how did I 'pass this off as my own?' I wouldn't do that. I made it very clear it was Daniel's, aka dave. But you don't know him mindy. so it would be lost on you.

You are welcome.

Yap. you lost that one mindy.

holdserve, it's fine. Like I said, I respect this poster (daniel) enormously. He is brilliant, his stats astound our group of tennis fans and you should go over to TX, you get a better breed of fan who knows their onions (unlike mindy, though you have to laugh at her, she does try) Native has about 5 or 6 names going on over there. We can all see through it though (we have a bit of a laugh about her on email, she's really a very poor writer). Of course, her only retort is to accuse me of pasting other's posts! (I don't even deny it, if they're really, really good and I always give them credit! I hope she can learn from them, as she's not too hot on the writing, save for the homiletic speeches, eh Mindy?).

Moving on to proper discussion, mriiidula, I think you may also have missed 'daniel's' reference, but at least that's now clarified, but thank you for your response.

I wonder if nole win tomorrow what will be maxi's argument. Not playing better as usual? Or having an off day? Or else Delpo and Gasquet is better than Monfils and Tipsy, but of course Wawa is best among them? ;-) a good statistical analysis but amazingly put in the wrong order!
bryanindo
, 6/2/11 3:12 AM

bryan, firstly, what order would you put it in? Should Novak win, i wouldn't mind to tell you the truth. Novak is a fantastic player and I wish him the very best. I am very happy that Federer made the semi finals. I expect him to go one step further and beat Novak, but if that doesn't work out, there won't be any excuses from me bryan, unlike some rafa fans: 'rafa's tired; rafa's ill; rafa's injured; rafa's not 100%; rafa's parents have divorced; rafa's had an argument with xisco; rafa's fishing; in fact rafa is human; bla bla bla, bwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa people don't realise that!

Vamos Roger!

maxi , 6/2/11 9:19 AM

A lot of guys here now don't know the real malteser1 aka maxi. Wait 'til she forgets to take her meds guys, and you'll see how "innocent" she is.

phoenix , 6/2/11 9:23 AM

maxi aka madmax,

Yes, that's two of your names. So you are back to using my name, even though I post under Nativenewyorker here. You are not fooling anybody, because we all know that you are the one who has all these different identities.

So when the post comes up as "dave", then that means Daniel, right? I see that this use of different screen names is contagious! The problem is that you clutter up this site by cutting and pasting other people's arguments because you are incapable of making an argument yourself. And that is something which I note you did not refute! I guess you know your limitations!

Talk about homiletic! All you do is call people names in lieu of making a reasonable argument. You say the same things to me all the time. The people on your site make fun of me in e-mails! Oh, you are breaking my heart! Yes, that one cut me to the bone! Like I respect or care what they think.

My point still stands. "Daniel" is different from "Dave" and you are still copying and pasting this nonsense and cluttering up the blogs endlessly.

You once publicly warned me on this site for saying you are posting under different screen names. Now you are doing the same thing and proudly. So you are the ultimate hypocrite. You complain about being the victim and poor little you and your other Fed fans are outnumbered here. Guess what! There are only about two Andy Murray fans and I don't hear them whining, or is it "whinging" where you come from. They don't have a problem with Rafa fans on this site. It's only you. Well it won't work because you will never drive the Rafa fans from this site.

I also am not going to wait until you write something original, because that would take forever. You are making an even bigger fool of yourself on this site, but you just love to stir up trouble, don't you?

Nativenewyorker , 6/2/11 9:55 AM

I'm sorry native, but this really has to stop. Davd IS Daniel but on another tennis site. You wouldn't know that unless you were on that tennis site. He is a very popular, clever poster.

I don't attack people. I, like you, read others posts and dave/daniel (who posts as two different posters on different sites), gets credited for it. As I have done here.

The least you could have done is to apologise Native. Just apologise because you got it wrong. I would respect you more then. The fact is that you misread my post and got it wrong. We all do it and you seem to not see your mistake, or if you do, see it as a weakness.

Secondly, I dont post under any other name other than maxi and madmax. Cheryl will agree to that and that's the truth. Whether you believe me or not is irrelevant, becuase you want to believe the worst of not only me, but any federer fan who pushes your buttons because they disagree with you. I don't know who the poster that Phoenix talks about all the time, and I have said this over and over. There are so many similar writers here, who cares? But that is his/her problem. It doesn't seem a strange thing to me that people on this site also post as other posters on other sites (you do, as do 4 or 5 others here). It makes no difference to me because I come on here to talk about tennis and have a good time. (when I have time). I don't hold myself out as an expert. I just enjoy watching tennis and enjoy 2 or 3 people's posts over here. I don't cause trouble here and I don't attack. On other hand, you do. Just looking at the language you use, it's quite aggressive and native, you really, REALLY do go on. It's your way. That's you. I don't really like it that much, but people like you exist in the world and hopefully I don't have to meet too many of you, too often because I think I would shoot myself.

I understand if you need the conversation, but I think it might help you also if you read perhaps a bit more carefully, it is only when you misread things native that you make mistakes. I didn't make a mistake. I quoted Daniel (who is wonderful), as I enjoy his statistics which help me to understand the game more.

Yes, there are 3 federer fans here and I am in touch with a few of them and we have a good time talking about tennis. Am sure you will have your own friends to, but to blatantly cause havoc every time you see my name because you think you can get away with it. No. There has to be a full stop to it.

Apologise Native, you made the mistake. Then we can move on.

maxi , 6/2/11 4:23 PM

Maxi, STFU and stop being bitchy - isn't this the word you used on someone here recently? You are the one who needs to apologize for your pathetic stupidity and hateful rantings over and over. Booooring, Maxi. Get lost please. Now would be good! Tennis fans come here to read intelligent comments, not the rubbish crap that you post. Go learn a thing or two about tennis before coming back here.

jean , 6/2/11 6:10 PM

This Daniel is sure not to be wonderful!

holdserve , 6/2/11 6:32 PM

jean,

Thank you! There's really nothing more to say! And don't you worry! I have no intention of ever apologizing to this dreadful person who has created such misery and hate with her trash talk! :)

NNY: it is not a double standard, i suddenly felt that everyone was ganging up on her so i spoke up about it. people dont gang up on you. i usually dont read posts that attack others. i was just giving my opinion, clearly i shouldnt have interfered and let you guys go on.

Maxi, seemingly you are have done something in this room years ago and hurt several person which I knew always been a good tennis analyst and fans, especially to rafans..

I have no intention to bring it back on the room but I think if it already past, just forget it for own sakes. Fed and Rafa are good friends and I think it'll be good to be practiced to all their fans as well.. Agree with Mriiidula, Let's discuss and expound every discussion with tennis pleasure without attacking other personality..
