Novak Djokovic made quick work of France’s Richard Gasquet to get into the French Open quarterfinals.
Serbia’s Novak Djokovic had another easy win to move into the French Open quarters where he will meet an exhausted Fabio Fognini.
Richard Gasquet had been playing good tennis coming into his fourth round match against Djokovic, but the Frenchman lacked the firepower to stay with Djokovic.
Gasquet had a trio of break point chances in the first set, but couldn’t convert while Djokovic went about the business of racking up another victory.
This wasn’t the Frenchman at his very best. Gasquet’s backhand lacked some of the zip it had in Rome; but even if he had played better, Djokovic played the sort of tennis that left victory never in doubt.
In the third set in particular, Djokovic completely stifled Gasquet’s serve with blistering returns. The Serb looks well-positioned to get into the semifinals.

isfand, are you kidding? It really takes a great knowledge of tennis and profet skills to come to such a conclusion...of course Nole will outclass Fognini...Italian won't take more than 3 games in the whole match...
