Stanislas Wawrinka dug out of a 0-2 set deficit during his third-round clash with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga late Friday. The Swiss is through to the round of 16, along with fellow seed David Ferrer, who beat Sergiy Stakhovsky.

Fourteenth seed Stanislas Wawrinka advanced to the final 16, after mounting a major comeback during his match with 17th seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. The 26-year-old Swiss trailed by two sets, but fought through to a four-hour, 3-minute victory. After splitting the first two sets, Wawrinka earned a key break to 5-3 in the decider. The 14th seed missed two match points, but converted the third on a forehand winner.
Wawrinka ended the day with 7 aces and 37 winners.
He will take on fellow Swiss Roger Federer in the round of 16. The 2009 French Open champion defeated 29th seed Janko Tipsarevic in the third round, 6-1, 6-4, 6-3.

Seventh seed David Ferrer is through to the fourth round, following his routine 6-1, 6-1, 6-3 victory over 31st seed Sergiy Stakhovsky. The 29-year-old Spaniard passed through the match unbroken, having held his opponent to just 16 points on the return. Ferrer tallied 22 winners and six service breaks through 96 minutes of play.
He is next to face ninth seed Gael Monfils, who took out Steve Darcis in the third round, 6-3, 6-4, 7-5.
