The clay-court season continues as the ATP World Tour heads to Paris, France for the start of Roland Garros. Former champion Roger Federer, who captured the title in 2009, looks to win his 17th major championship in two weeks.
World No. 3 Roger Federer makes his return to competition after a third-round loss to Richard Gasquet in Rome. The 29-year-old enters into Roland Garros with a 28-7 record, having reached the semifinal or better in six tournaments this year.
Federer is located in the same quarter of the draw as (7) David Ferrer, (9) Gael Monfils, (14) Stanislas Wawrinka, (17) Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, (22) Michael Llodra, (29) Janko Tipsarevic and (31) Sergiy Stakhovsky. Other combatants in the section include: Igor Andreev, Ivan Dodig, Kei Nishikori, and Philipp Petzschner.
Federer is scheduled to open his run against Feliciano Lopez of Spain. The nearest seed to the World No. 3 is Tipsarevic, who looms as a possible third-round opponent. Passage through the early rounds may set a likely round of 16 meeting with Tsonga and a quarterfinal clash with clay-court talent Ferrer.
Should the seeds hold through the draw, Federer looks to a probable semifinal showdown with an undefeated Novak Djokovic. The World No. 2 heads into Roland Garros on a 39-match winning streak, having captured seven titles in 2011.

If Djokovic remains consistent and Murray too starts playing to his potential, then the triumvirate of the three 24 year-olds would prevent Fed from winning any more slams.

What's wrong about Fed since 2008? He's still winning slams, the FO and Wimbledon 2009, and AO 2010. So practically every year since 2003, Fed was winning at least one slam. It's that a bad thing? I can't say the same for Nole or Delpo. Nole won one slam in 2008 and has to wait for three years before winning another; Delpo won one in 2009 and that's it for now. How's Fed any worse off than Nole and Delpo? Fed only lose out to Rafa since 2008 in terms of winning slams; Fed won four and Rafa won six. Not bad for an old man like Fed!

I think I have more chances of dating Megan Fox than Federer of winning another GS.
