Third seed Nicolas Almagro is through to the championship match in Nice, following his straight-set victory over Tomas Berdych. The Spaniard will contest the title against Victor Hanescu, who downed Alexandr Dolgopolov.

World No. 12 Nicolas Almagro reached his fourth clay-court final of the season, after taking out second seed Tomas Berdych on Friday. The 25-year-old Spaniard tallied 6 aces and three service breaks, through to a 6-4, 6-4, semifinal victory in 88 minutes. By virtue of the win, Almagro improved his series record to 2-3 against Berdych.
He looks to win his 10th career title on Saturday.
Victor Hanescu def. (5) Alexandr Dolgopolov 6-3, 6-3
World No. 69 Victor Hanescu made his first ATP World Tour final in more than a year, having ousted 5th seed Alexandr Dolgopolov in straight sets. The 29-year-old Romanian veteran converted four of 8 break chances, en route to a 6-3, 6-3 victory in 73 minutes. Dolgopolov struggled with his second serve, unable to win more than 22% of the points.
Hanescu enters into the final trailing his opponent 0-3 in the series.
