Djokovic still perfect, advances to Belgrade semis Novak Djokovic dismisses Blaz Kavcic in straight sets on Friday in Belgrade. Djokovic's undefeated 2011 campaign will be on the line in Saturday's semifinals against countryman Janko Tipsarevic.

Novak Djokovic extended his perfect 2011 record to 26-0 by easing past Blaz Kavcic 6-3, 6-2 in the quarterfinals of the Serbia Open on Friday evening. Djokovic won 54 percent of his first-serve return points and advanced after one hour and 25 minutes of play.

Kavcic took care of his opening service game for 1-1 in the first set, but Djokovic seized control when he broke for 3-1 advantage with a winning forehand. The second-ranked Serb held serve the rest of the way and he capitalized on his second set point at 5-3 by forcing his opponent into an error.

Set two progressed in similar fashion, with Djokovic using his second return game to get the break and take the lead. Belgrade's No. 1 seed and 2009 champion appeared to be off to the races when he held for 3-1 and broke again for 4-1, but at that point he suffered his lone real hiccup of the match. Kavcic got one of the breaks back, but the underdog Slovenian could not get any closer. Djokovic won the final two games and survived one deuce at 5-3 before clinching victory thanks to a pair of Kavcic errors.

Kavcic, a steady baseliner who often struggles on serve, struck no aces and tossed in five double-faults. Djokovic wrapped up his effort with two aces and three doubles while putting in 61 percent of his first deliveries.

The tournament is guaranteed a hometown favorite in the final, as Djokovic will go up against friend and compatriot Janko Tipsarevic in Saturday's semis. Tipsarevic ousted Somdev Devvarman 6-3, 3-6, 6-4.
