The world top two of Nadal and Novak Djokovic are expected to be ready for a change of surface with at event starting a fortnight before Wimbledon.

Nadal beat Djokovic for the title in 2008, did not play in 2009 due to injury and was put out by compatriot Feliciano Lopez in the quarter-finals a year ago. Djokovic got as far as the third round in 2010 before losing to Xavier Malisse.

Other in the field include the French trio of Jo Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet and Gilles Simon along with former Top 10 players Marin Cilic, Fernando Verdasco and Ivan Ljubicic.
