    Munich - Cilic, Davydenko through to quarterfinal Tournament seeds Marin Cilic and Nikolay Davydenko are through to the final eight at the BMW Open, after posting victories over respective opponents Horacio Zeballos and Julian Reister.

    World No. 21 Marin Cilic advanced to the quarterfinal by virtue of his straight-set win against Horacio Zeballos of Argentina. The 2010 BMW Open finalist collected 8 aces and three service breaks, en route to a 6-3, 7-6(7) victory in one hour and 51 minutes. The 22-year-old Croatian is through to his third quarterfinal at the tournament.

    He will meet seventh seed Nikolay Davydenko for a place in the semifinal.

    (7) Nikolay Davydenko def. (Q) Julian Reister 3-6, 7-6(5), 6-1

    Former World No. 3 Nikolay Davydenko survived a difficult round of 16, having rallied to oust qualifier Julian Reister in three sets. The 29-year-old Russian fought back to break serve twice in the deciding set. He completed the two-hour and 27-minute effort with 11 of 15 break points saved.

    With the round of 16 success, Davydenko is through to his first quarterfinal since finishing runner-up to Roger Federer in Doha.
