    Troicki, Robredo move on in Monte-Carlo Tournament seed Viktor Troicki passed into round two at the Monte-Carlos Rolex Masters with a straight-set win over veteran Jean-Rene Lisnard. Tommy Robredo is also through, following his opening-round victory against Ivan Dodig.

    Eleventh seed Viktor Troicki made the second round on Monday, having ousted wildcard Jean-Rene Lisnard in straight sets, 7-6(4), 6-1. The Serbian came through a competitive tie-break, with a key mini-break taken at 4-4. The 25-year-old upped his level in the second set, breaking serve on three occasions. He completed the match with 3 aces and four of 8 break chances converted.

    Troicki is next to square off against either Kevin Anderson or Fabio Fognini.

    Tommy Robredo def. Ivan Dodig 6-4, 6-2

    World No. 29 Tommy Robredo eased into the second round, having ousted Ivan Dodig in an hour and 17 minutes. The 28-year-old Spaniard held nine straight service games en route to an opening-round victory, 6-4, 6-2. Robredo extended his season record to 17-4, through to the Monte-Carlo round of 32 for the sixth consecutive year.

    He will meet fellow Spaniard Fernando Verdasco for a place in the round of 16.
