Dis-satisfied former Grand Slam finalist Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has split with fellow Frenchman and coach Eric Winogradsky.
The Swiss-based player is currently training in Geneva with compatriot Gael Monfils and Roger Rasheed, Australian coach of Monfils.
The French federation announced that Tsonga and former player Winogradsky were no longer working together, with the trainer set to return to the federation coaching pool. The pair were a team for almost seven years, with Tsonga losing the 2008 Australian Open final to Novak Djokovic.
Tsonga has had a disappointing 2011 after an injury-filled 2010. He went out to early exits at both Indian Wells and Key Biscayne and now stands 17th in the rankings after once standing in the Top 10.
"I would like to thank Eric Winograsky, Cyril Brechbuhl my conditioning coach as well as the French Tennis Federation for their support," Tsonga said in a statement. "I want to create my own training team and thus continue on the work that was done by my coaches." Winogradsky helped Tsonga to five titles.
