Enthusiastic former Andy Murray coach Brad Gilbert remains confident that his former charge can
break out of a slump which has affected his game for two months since losing another Australian Open final.
Murray crashed out in his opening round at the Miami Masters, a broken man who cannot figure what is
going wrong with his game. But Gilbert, who worked with the Scot for 16 months in 2005-2006 says he's sure Murray will eventually come good.
"Murray is having a bit of a rough patch," Gilbert tweeted. "Repeat of last year, probably got hit harder this year. Just like a hangover, takes time to recover. He will come out of it. At every level, the core of
success depends on the level of confidence."
Murray last won a set at the Australian Open and is trying to build some confidence on his own, "In practise I've been competing well," said said on his website. "Especially this week, playing a lot of good points and feeling good, then in matches I haven't been able to get it going at all. It's happened to me in the past where I've had bad moments and I've come back well from them."

muzz needs something he has never been able to accept: a father figure. a boss. an old head who commands respect, asserts his authority in an understated kind of way, and has the wit to tackle muzz's biggest problem: his brain. someone like bolletieri could lift him, although there's not much chance of that now. but if muzz can't handle a father figure, a grandfather figure might get through, someone who could skelp him over the ears when he gets cheeky, because muzz knows he needs him more than he needs muzz.

Oh what a shame Coretja's gone. He was responsible for so much improvement in Andy's game....NOT:(
Don't think Lendl's right, unless his role is purely as a mentor. Lendle was too much of a baseliner. And who knows if Ivan can coach or not anyway? Andy needs someone like Stephanki/Norman/Gilbert..again...
